You never get to put your hands on concrete until the exam. This course sucks, I have taken it many times. The teacher in the northern VA area is a complete a-hole. You can't even ask him a question or he will say something like "I guess you ain't been listening, boy" I have to take it again this month so trying to get a jump on it because we do not test concrete but have to have the cert so i learn it every 5 years. It should be continued education after the first time but it isn't and there is no reason to worry about it expiring, you have to go through the entire thing every time. Why can E&S and SWM both required by the State of VA be continued education but not this? Now VDOT doesn't handle the testing for the VDOT concrete so they made a mess of it too. I'm going to find a new job prior to my ACI expiring within the next 5 years.
