Now, that is where I totally disagree with you because Cinematic by itself goes beyond a colour grade. We all throw it around on RU-vid for the algorithms sake. However, in reality, the grade is just a fraction of it. It's a combination of composition, lightening, costume and the general mis en scene. Also, if you want to keep the argument solely on the grading part, it still falls flat in a way because, historically, it has always been a very subjective thing. Cinematic color grade is what works within the context of your story. From angles and even the grade are working for the story and working alone based on some so called "laid down rules" for what constitutes cinematic grade. From your line of thinking, are you telling me styles like film noire with all the deep shadows within the black and white feel are not cinematic films? I guess not

@@africaamaze i know that cinematic is more than just colours. but YOUR VIDEO is all about "cinematic" colour grading. so my lines are about it. anyone can see, that this looks more like video. not movie. and your clip is not film noir ;). thing is: most videos really don`t look like movie. and ppl don`t understand this. they don`t care about colour harmony, colour contrasts, decent grading, a decent cinema camera, etc.. see this for example: THIS is a cinematic colour grade: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nPkr9HmglG0.html compare this with your footage and you`ll see: yours is maybe looking like a BBC documentary. but its not cinematic.
