Boiling water won’t remove toxic chemicals from contaminated soil! Only do this if you’re 100% sure there is no contamination, like glyphosate, or petroleum distillates, or any of countless other toxic contaminants in the soil.
He's talking about survival situation and i doubt that situation like this happens on the muddy Ohio cornfields so i think its minor problem. Also you are free not to try that when you get yourself into the survival situation. Im sure death from dehydration sounds lot nicer
At least your deleted bullshit comment helped me to make decision. If i ever end up in survival situation with group of unknown people i will promptly check their youtube channel name and ask them if they are willing to survive. Smartasses will be solved right on the stand. Nobody really likes smartasses.
JD you make an excellent point that many people fail to realize. All those fancy filters you can find on Amazon like the "drinking straw" the "gravity bag" ONLY filter particulates. Even if you add a chlorine tablet AND/OR Boil the water, that only kills microbes, Chemical contamination is still there. Heavy metal contamination is still there. So always be mindful of the SOURCE of your water
I would be careful of the fact that pushing that much muddy water into your filter will clog it up very fast and the filter as labelled only filters your water so boil for safe measure
The filter is capable of filtering out both bacteria, parasites producer, and other microorganism besides viruses, this filter and many other like it, or effective for the whole North American continent due to the fact that there are no viruses inside of water in North America so in conclusion, this water can be used to drink water straight from the source boiling is not required
The thing is right, if your suddenly just thrown into a survival situation, its not like you'll have the resources to do this, unless your prepared for it however this is handy to know
You need clothing (which you should have), a fire (which you basically need to make anyway), and something to hold the water (probably the hardest part) in order to do this
Those filters are usually just carbon. If you had to you could make your own filter with charcoal from your fire. Don't use store-bought charcoal, you have to make your own from fresh wood, store-bought charcoal contains toxic chemicals that you shouldn't drink.
I would advise you add into your kit ,the pills that kills bacteria and worms , That is what is used in remote areas, but the taste will somewhat change.
Unfortunately, most straw filters use an ultra-filtration method, which uses pressure to force the water through a semi-permeable membrane, capturing microscope sediment & various microorganisms. So it's great at removing most pathogenic bugs, but does NOT remove pesticides, VOCs, chemicals from a myriad of industries, heavy metals, etc. You need an activated charcoal filter for that. Maybe boil the water, then filter through the straw filter, then put it through the charcoal filter. Yes, it's extra work, but it's infinitely better than getting sick, especially when there's no medical help available.
I’ve used these dozens of times. Never had an issue. In fact I usually go backpacking in small groups and end up filling a camp jug for everyone. No one has ever gotten sick on, or after, our trips
- *Looks tasty* .. who agrees? Not sure I wanna be shirtless in the wilderness though, but hey.. better than death I suppose (as long as I don't freeze to death first) 👇🏽
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😚🕯️🙏✝️ Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. 😊❤❤❤🤍🤍🤍☀️ Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior??? I do. 💕
How to distill water in a survival situation: -step 1: buy a straw off Amazon -step 2: eat mud instead of calling for help -step 3: eat delivery man when your straw arrived -step 4: die in the woods by way of bear attack
@@BigDees19 I have a science degree in health..... It's all over the Internet for healthy doctors that tell the truth like dr. Darren Schmidt. I also followed several preppers . They really keep up on how to get fresh water in the city in the woods how to make filters it's good stuff.
@@OctopusH2O I use that with fulvic acid. I drink some Spring water too like Fuji you water as it has the highest silica content which pulls out Mercury aluminum and toxins from the body . We need all the help we can get
Don't forget people you can also make a homemade water filter using a thick piece of cloth and you fill it up with sand dirt rocks and charcoal and then lay out another flat piece of cloth as a secondary filter screen and fill that one with nothing but crushed charcoal charcoal will save your life man they even have you eat it in the hospital when you have stomach poisoning
