Bruh y cant i have a liquor store owner near me, i swear in the UK its all just a "boozemart" with some random bossman that knows jack shit. Jarring honestly
Just for context I'm 20 and my go to drink is a spiced or navy rum to mix with or a Cuban rum or scotch whiskey but I can never find a shop owner with a good knowledge of rum or whiskey, very annoying
Genuine question. I want to get my dad a bottle of whiskey or bourbon for Father’s Day but I don’t want it to be Jim Beam. I want something classy so I was thinking Wild Turkey or Jameson. Thoughts or recommendations?
Depending on your budget Wild Turkey 101 or Rare Breed are great choices. I would go with Jameson Stout Edition if going that route or if you want a great Irish whiskey Redbreast 12 is amazing and made by the same distiller as Jameson. Also the same distiller that makes Beam also makes Knob Creek and Basil Hayden which are both a step up from Jim Beam.
I agree, i worked at a big liquor store in cleveland ohio. If you can maybe some knob creek 9 (like mentioned). Basil haydens (toasted if possible) fly’s off the shelves. Maybe if you can find some buffalo trace ?
I wish I could get my daddy something for Father's Day, unfortunately he's not here to enjoy it, he passed on in '04, & my maternal grampa (WW2 vet) passed from cancer in '00, but I know what I would've gotten both, grampa would've been a bottle of wine, daddy would've been either Canadian Club or Canadian Hunter. I guess it's the thought that counts in my case. I still miss my grampa & daddy both
