I like your studio. Real-life kind of background, no stupid RGB lights, you play where you find the place to do so, like 99% of us.

So glad you put this out there. I've been trying BRF settings of 50 to 80 on the V3s. From what I've learned, it all depends on the pedal stiffness/preload. Softer pedal can use a higher force and stiffer can use lower. If I remember right, Z28 uses 35 or 40 with a stiff pedal. Digit runs 45-50, Kie used 75 but now he's testing the V2s at 45. Like you said, getting BRF right will improve lap times. Great video.

Im the opposite, i have issues with my back and hips so i have to use low brake force. But for me its natural and I naturally am able to track the lighter feel now. Like you said you can adapt to anything! I will say im using the elite v2s and they arent as sensitive as the v3s it takes sligjtly more pressure then the v3s so then being lighter isnt as jumpy. Its smooth even when lower settting. Plus going to 100% brake force isnt a horrible thing when braking late. Just go 100% start backing off and then keep trail braking. But thats my style. For me it was much easier and faster to use the lower settings then higher. But there is a sweet spot. 30% Nobody has to do 0% or 100% can find there middle. I know many actually most who use 50% also its brake force not brake ffb lol. Regardless good video man.

Hello, a nice video and I agree with you. Another important point is the posture of the foot during breaking. To get the best feeling for the break pressure it is very important to keep the heel in the air during breaking. Do not rest the heel at the base plate of the pedal set. If you do not believe it just try it, personally I gained 1,5 s lap time at the COTA track just with this simple rule....

Noticed my G920 pedals were all over the place trying to modulate and keep half force. The throttle pedal is too loose and does the same thing but worse.I ordered the Fanatec CSL to start and I’m looking at used load cells. Great tips

Great info. But your driving on a old firmware. The new on 447 firmware gives another input in the brake force. What gives a bit more accurate feeling with the brake force . Yet what is another thing to consider is that do you drive ps5/p4 or ps5/ps4 com and same with the pc. These type settings on your base wheel setting have a very big influence on in your driving style.

My opinion is that if you have raced real cars, the brake pedal doesn't travel that much ( except old rally cars ). So when I bought a true brake system, it was so much more natural to start remembering how much force I need to put in the pedal, and it moves only a little bit. And in winged cars, I think it hardly moves. So that is better for me and also it's easier, when left leg engages differently than right.

So whats your inners for the v3s? Stock or BPK? Curious cause you seem to have a lot of movement still at 85%, imo. Lol 😆 I just upgraded to v3 from elite with lc and mods.... lol 😆 🤣 using the v3s with the bpk, 13 g, 12 g, med setup, and brf at 80... so far been straight swap but can really see the better performance and consistency from the v3s. Matched lap times immediately and now 2 weeks on starting to outpace old lap times by tenths easily.... Good advice 👍 however it does really come down to personal preference. I taught myself to left foot brake so I want a heavier force because I club the pedal, but then can ease off consistently. Some that are left footed or have better dexterity in the brake foot may want softer force for more precise control.... or so I have heard.... (camaro YTber?)...

I understand of course you cant beat practice. However! Would you say VRS vs. Fanatec V2 pedals both set at 40kg of brake force, do you think you would still be faster with the VRS and by how much? I know, hard to quantify.

Absolutely incorrect. Whether petentiometer or load cell or hall effect, both have equal or similar bit rates and resolution of data. It's just interpreted differently. And your mixing concepts. You are talking about pedal travel, whilst preaching pedal force. There are many factors, such as preload, dampening, elastomer stiffness, lower dead zones, upper dead zones. This is a dangerous video as you are talking as though you are an expert, but you fundamentally don't actually understand the concepts your talking about. Edit to add You are mixing up concepts up. You need to factor in things such as what elastomer you have. For example I run my set up with ability for pedal travel. It's pretty linear. It's progressively harder. So the first 50% of travel may only be actuating 25% brake force. The next 35% actuating the next 40% and the final 15% of travel doing 35% of the brake force. If I were to set up a stiff pedal, it's much easier to get to 100% brake force, as it takes much less time to physically move the pedal. If I have to move a pedal 1cm compared to 10cm to achieve the same brake force, which one is quicker to do? There are way to many factors and nuances and personal preferences for me to go into here. But you are in that dangerous spot where you think you know most, which gives you the confidence to share what you know.. But in reality your just scratching the surface and judging at all the comments praising you for helping them.. Well, your actually just spreading incomplete information and misinformed masked as truth. Also, stop calling it brake force feedback. Your brake does not have force feedback. There is no servo motor pushing forces against you.

Is there a difference if I setup through fanatec app connected to a PC or directly into the wheel menu setup ? Using Gt 7 . Thanks
@andrewvasquezz
@andrewvasquezz Год назад
There shouldn’t be a difference. It’s just faster to do it through the app.

Ok so I’ve watched loads of reviews on several wheel and pedal set for ps5 which is confusing in itself. Settled on either t-gt 2 or t248. The problem is I’ve done some searches to see if anyone is having any issues and there seems to be a calibration issue with the t-gt 2 and the t248 has had pedal problems. I don’t know what to do as now I’m afraid if I get one or the other I’m going to have problems. Should I just stick with controller

Can those settings be done on ps5 with fanatec or does it have to be through a PC? I've got the dd pro turning up today but I've no access to a PC

You can change settings on the wheel but ideally you need a PC /laptop for firmware updates which to me is ridiculous. You can update the PS controller through the PS system so why not anything else. Kind of defeats the object of having a console really.
