Learn the in-game character screams and what each of them means, the screaming from being shot, flashbanged, set aflame, slamming doors, sustained shooting, being shot at etc.... They are all slightly different and super fucking useful and nobody ever mentions it. Also as an added tip, the m99 scope acts as though it has a weak parabolic microphone. Idk if that is intended but you can confirm kills with it if you really listen for the splat sound of a .50 cal impacting or the death scream
One more tip about the smokes: Try to throw the smoke as close to the enemies instead of teammates, as it will cut off a bigger angle from their position, and might even force them to move which gives your team another free kill. It works wonders and makes pushing onto objectives a walk in the park. Also, throw in a cooked grenade or two for objective entrances. Also, I thought this entire time that the explosives wallbanging through floors was a bug specific to Farmhouse this entire time. I learned something new and useful once again
@@foodank_atr817 that'd be so much work cause you would have to give the defense a chance to fortify the walls no? Like what's the point of a game like this destructible walls if your not gonna do it better than siege.
I’ve been playing insurgency since it’s early days when you could still mod everything. The absolute biggest tip for new players is to not play this game like it’s tarkov or real life. You don’t have to run n gun like cod. But push the objectives even if u think you’ll die. You could be the difference.
I see so many people afraid of dying like they would die in real life, like, dude, it's domination, push the objective, even if I'm playing marksman I can't just see no one getting the objectives, I need to get over and take the point
@@ruohoo_ it's always great, super high tension as you're the only one on the point, watching 3 different entrance points, but noooo, people sit in a corner waiting for someone to run by.
I like his advice to to look left and right. Many players always constant sprint passed the half way point of the map. Or in funneled areas or big open areas. The half way point is both spawns sprinting to the point they will see each other. You should stop and look at that point and start clearing. Not right after spawn ( which I see people do, taking forever to get towards the obj or holding nothing while their team is getting caught by themselves ) or after the half way point unless you know the map timing well enough.
Recycling reduces energy consumption in both your body and in electrical draw into your computer. You are saving the planet while also saving noobs from depression when they inevitably struggle with this new genre of gaming on consoles. A hero by all standards!
When console comes out. I am gonna be the guy who pushes up, kills some enemies and takes the points. I have a aggressive PlayStation but I also know how to sit back and defend a position. I’m so excited for console. When I played PC Sandstorm was my fav to play.
@@cefloh they're jus mad, every game needs a few fraggers, can't just have a bunch of uncoordinated toddlers running from A to B to C racking up death after death. When I see a guy go 2/0/20 it doesn't really matter how many caps he gets he still sucks and those are the real liabilities, people that can't stay alive.
@@garrysanderson5793 ...but that 2/20 guy still capped though, didn't he? if even a guy with a terrible k/d is still consistently getting on obj and succeeding, that benefits everyone on the team no matter what.
i agree with looking left and right as part of your visual awareness, if you don’t actually notice an enemy in time then you’re always at a disadvantage vision/spotting is essential and is why snipers in real life need spotters to help them
Crouch jumping super important in this game. Like you can crouch jump through bus windows instead of having to go around the bus. You can take many shorter routes which throw off a lot of timings and you can toss smokes pre nades and flashes to disrupt other players. Even if they know the map. You will make them have to wait, while you can move up and get map control. I think it helps compensate worse aim cause you get a good angle to hold and control, before the opposing side thinks you should be there.
Always use a gas mask. It muffles your own characters audio ques to the environment... so they can't use all of these tips against you. It effectively mutes you. The realism the devs put in is insane, literally like talking through a thick slab of rubber. And with a very manageable loss of vision. If you just get used to putting your gas mask on straight out of spawn, it's an easy way to get used to it. ALWAYS PACK A GAS MASK
It stiff is baffling how this game has next to no popularity, while simultaneously being by far one of the best fps games on the market rn. appreciate the content, its few and far between :/
Nice one Gibs! I’ve got 600+ hrs in Sandstorm and I learned some awesome stuff just now. Recycled content ftw! Can’t wait to try out IEDing some suckers from the floor below!
They can’t hear you reloading? Didn’t know that. You can hear their callout “I’m reloading!” though right? One other tip you could have mentioned was how useful sneak walking is (alt key on pc). Slow as shit but totally silent! Had some epic melee kills that way. Finally you can definitely hear people ADSing if you’re near them. Great way to identify if people are camping corners etc.
@@awesomezombi1026 that's crazy - not that they're comparable games, but I'm certain MW2019 and recent Battlefield titles, you can hear the reload This seems like a game where that shit matters
@@rambo-cambo3581 you can't hear the reload, but you can 100% hear the callout, awesomezombi is wrong. Anything your character says in-game will be able to be heard by enemies, including coughing in smoke, so always equip a gas mask to muffle your voice, and prevent coughing in smoke completely.
You can also cancel the sprint ADS by having your sprint on Toggle. While sprinting, press shift to stop and quickly ADS. You won't be crouched, but it can prove faster than crouching to cancel.
The crouch shot helped a lot I just got into this game like legit a week ago and I love it, and I’m coming from battlefield, cod, halo, etc which have all gotten so stale but this game be it old just idk it’s amazing I never new this genre of fps existed
Been waiting for 2 years for this game to come out an my waiting round is finally paying off also your a god on this game mate showed me a lot about this game an I haven't even played it yet 🤣🤣
The problem with using PC tips for console players, specifically the crouch jump into Windows, is on PC your crouch button, jump button, and aiming are all controlled with different fingers and thus able to be activated almost simultaneously (or at least close to). On console, our jump button, crouch button, and aiming are all controlled by our one thumb, so in order to hit those same two buttons at the same time while moving the camera you have to be INSANELY fast. It’s a great tip for PC players but it definitely doesn’t translate well to console, as most PC tips don’t. This is also why I don’t think console players will ever have a competitive chance against PC players, it’s not even the same league.
@@canaluludorel5838 I mean, sure k/d is lower then IQ, its about 1.5 for me, I doubt anyone has k/d over 100+ but I guess your k/d is higher then your IQ)
I think what he's trying to say - is this plays absolutely nothing like Battlefield When I'm playing battlefield I'm sliding round corners, jumping around, quickscoping people with a sniper and pulling out my pistol for the final kill You should not and really cannot do that in this game - I play this shit like a first person door kickers
I can speak to this from my own experience, so I can say that looking left and right is hard because in my mind I'm like "well what if I look both ways and then get shot from someone popping up in front of me?" Sometimes we're just afraid to look around.
Bigger maps more game modes more players per game destructible buildings and more things to buy for character customization with the points that you earn would fill out this masterpiece
For me a big problem in Ins: Sandstorm is the fact that when im shot at, the sounds freak me out so much i get dissoriented and suddenly i dont even know which direction i was facing. Ultra realsitic war experience.
I really like this game but!! I fuking hate it because devs still havent fixed the team balance one side total new players other side full high level players with over 2k playing hours..... Also alot of bugs still there the development is so slow on this game
I don’t think they plan on it just because it would be super unfair unless they reduce all the guns recoil and even then it would be unfair bc if a lack of aim assist
I literally just came across this game bought two days ago and i can the kills amd the game is very SATISFYING. I honestly play it for th3 Wll rifle mosin nagant
I know I’m kinda late to the party jus picked up insurgency sandstorm yesterday and sometime I jus get destroyed so this video definitely helps however when I goes on the kill steaks it’s so fucking satisfying and I absolutely love the gunplay and hardcore aspect of this game I’ll play this over battlefield 2042 anyday
Idk what y’all think but I’ve seen many videos and idk its like the enemies plays like bots looks like bots ( in my opinion) but im still getting the game lmao
Some tips I've picked up on during my time playing on Xbox: 1.) PIE THE DOOR!! 2.) Listen for team character dialog lines (eg, if you're covering someone planting an explosive on an objective and you hear them say to clear out). 3.) Personally, I'm a bigger fan of the Aiming Grip since in CQB I wanna get my gun up as fast as possible.
Some things to add spawn killing is a fair and balanced tactic second don’t use the under barrel shotguns but use the standalone ones I know for a fact that on console the standalone shottys are gonna be great just don’t forget flechette rounds they drastically increase your range. Also DONT USE RECOIL GRIP it’s a waste of supply none of the guns have an overwhelming amount of recoil in full auto one final thing explosive utility is king grenade launchers nades and rpgs are the best killing tools in the entire game especially grenades and grenade launchers
No spawn killing is just a dick move, if they get out of their spawn zones and catch them in the lanes I find it fair tho. There are some dicks who abuse spawn killing and take it too far and you don’t wanna be that guy to ruin the game
It’s funny what some ppl consider spawn camping. Some seem to think their spawn point goes from where they pop into existence all the way into the point they’re defending. They all go running into point like a herd of elephants and get all pissy when I mow down with my MG3. Muuahahahahha!! IMO covering point reinforcement lanes = Smart Tactics, not spawn camping ;-) Just part of what makes the game interesting, cause if they just slowed down and thought a bit I’d get 1 or 2 max before getting scrubbed myself.
@@MGE-Gibs See thats where I disagree if someone runs out of spawn into a lane that im holding towards their spawn I find that fair they dont know the map well enough to avoid it so they die thats not ruining the game thats just somebody getting the better of you then again im speaking from the perspective of the game being a competitive shooter where all things except cheating and glitch abusing is fair game
@Vince Nav I dont treat it like COD I just play the game the way its built to be played fast pace with a fast TTK theres an obvious meta and Im just pointing it out to the newbies that wanna learn to get good at pvp and not be bored to all hell and back with pve
@@Shoot_to_chill You just named it wrong, its not a spawn killing its a offensive hold position what you are trying to say, because spawn killing its the same as killing someone in their base just after they spawned.
Great game. I love it. They have to fix the explosion through floors lol. Kinda whack. Would be nice if we could blow holes in walls and make our own entrance.
One thing i would like to see with this game is for the devs to kind of overhaul the graphics on the next version f them game. Like give it some more atmosphere or something like how dice did with he frostbite engine back in the day, like for MOH 2010. Everything looks kindof cartoony, kind of kills the realism emersion they going for.
Can someone explain to me what way the mics/chat works? I'd specifically like to know when people can hear me talking and when they can't. Silly question i know but im new 😅
am i the only one thinking that the "stop -> crouch -> aim -> shoot" thing is a bug and not a feature, and if it is, why haven't the devolepers yet fixed it, as i have seen the same thing appearing in 2 years old video. And because of that thing i am wondering - doesn't this "feature" make the aim barrel useless?
Yeah, it's definitely cheesy. Since this is the only milsim-like game on console, I really didn't like finding out about that. I also think sensitivity should be limited, if I'm being honest. This isn't a snap shooter. Loving this game though
“This isn’t a snap shooter” are you sure about that buddy? It’s an intensely competitive online environment & Being a snappy crack shot is vital to survival
