Yep! This still remains the best gunplay ever! Unfortunately the lack of big updates killed the game, the talented people were hired by big rival companies and they don't implement things from the mod community that have so many people doing great maps, weapons, attachments etc... its frustating in the end.

We should probably get a bunch of signatures from players and send emails to them basically telling them what we want and how it can thrive. Otherwise chances are, they will just be interested in how they can make the most money from their investment in terms of micro transactions and god forbid loot crates. 100% that will erode the already small dedicated player base. rip sandstorm if pink hoodies and helmets with bunny ears get added
Man you rock! Only one gripe with Insurgency for casuals such as myself - I think new games could do with a feature 6 days in Fallujah has, where it randomly generates completely new structures from the previous. That way no one is rehearsed in the map like it’s their backyard.
Those M9 Beretta kills were clean that entire video, especially that triple kill feed, made you use your entire mag. GG’s dude, you’ve always had a keen eye for FPS games, and it most definitely shows.♥️🔥
Sandstorm is a mixed bag for me when it comes to gunplay, there's some really satisfying elements but also vice versa. If a sequel comes out (if ever?!), these things need to be fixed / be more realistic (to name a few examples): 1. Recoil patterns made (somewhat) independent from the camera (because that on it's own can't simulate realistic patterns). Main reason the FA meta exists in Sandstorm. 2. Optics not just being a texture/sprite pasted centerscreen, but actually simulated. 3. Height over bore.

Tell me a medic class wouldnt go crazy on this game like your allowed to revive within a 30 sec window frame and if they get shot in the head even after they die like they get double tapped then they cant be reviced. Thought ⁉️🤷♂️
Seeing people say the game is dead is what kills the game, i find low levels everyday almost every match and honestly it's really on the community to hyoe these games up. This game is giving what the people want yet marketing doesn't want this game to be big otherwise this shit would be the new wave of fps, this is the love child of rainbow, csgo, and battlefield with mechanics as it's signature strong point. The graphics still compete with cod in fluidity on a ps5
I always tell my friends that if we didn’t live in such a competitive capitalist world we could see several big game studios take their strongest aspects and work together to make a perfect mega game. If there were an fps, I would have this team responsible for gunplay.
If we had competitive capitalism we would get that. There’s nothing competitive about the system we have where some people can choose who joins and who doesn’t.
game has so much more potential, just wish they gave console a bit more love, the new consoles are very powerful and the ismc mod creators said that consoles would be able to run it, it’s just down to insurgency devs
Just heard the news that NWI is getting shut down as part of the ongoing Embracer Group distaster. Major bummer and hopefully we get to see the insurgency devs make some new stuff somewhere else :(
Such a great game I just got so bored with the same thing over and over. Had they had different game modes and maps, especially larger maps with larger team I would have been hooked forever
I've just recently started focusing on weapons or methods I don't typically use. This game allows for so much flexibility in play style. Unfortunately the dev team has been downsized and all OG devs are gone. No telling where the series goes now

The only thing I dislike about the gunplay in Sandstorm is that the hip-fire/point firing is kinda fucked. Even low-recoil weapons like 9mm smgs are unrealistically uncontrollable. It feels as if your character has taken the weapon out of their shoulder, and is just holding it out in front of them. Not saying it should be Tarkov-levels of point fire (Where point-fire is basically stronger than ADS), but just a little bit more under control.
How the hell does your game run so smoothly? I got an fps drop every time I got shot or shot at people It's not a GPU problem either since I have a rtx 3060

When do you think we're going to hear anything about a new game? I'm itching for something updated, everything else is going huge combined arms (squad, OHD, etc), PVE only, or CallOfDuty. There's really no other infantry focused games available with realistic TTK available out there.
I’d guess sometime 2024 because of the pace Sandstorms announcements have been in terms of slowing down. But this is just a guess, I haven’t heard anything yet.
Love this game start with that but these guys are military contractors from an era where you have to have HELLA combat experience, identifiers, and preferred SOF to even be considered for pick up WHY ARE THE RELOADS SO SLOW
