Great channel. Pro tip: when you can afford it, get a good lapel microphone. As far as the QSL cards, they are loads of fun. Back in the day when I started in the 70s, it was the norm to mail QSLs to contacts. Today it is much rarer. I now send E-QSLs via email using N1ET's software. Unfortunately there are a few grumpy hams who can't resist shooting back an email "don't send me any more cards!" instead of simply putting it in their spam folder. As a young ham, please don't be discouraged by angry boomers. I'm sure you've encountered them. They are what is wrong with ham radio today. Instead, keep doing what you're doing! Great info. You prefer the envelope instead of formatting for sending with a postcard rate stamp on them? Not even sure what the savings is these days :)
I'm new to Gimp. When I try to open any of the .XCF files I get an error. "Front.xcf failed: GIMP XCF image plug-in could not open image" Thank you, Tom
