I did a review of the Get Out Gear Trek chair a while back. Since that video, GOG advised me that there were less than 10 failures of the front hub of the frame of the Trek Chair. As a result, GOG has upgraded the hub of the frame of the chair. I have been very impressed with the response that GOG made in response to the issues reported on their chair. The chair has not been released to the public and GOG has decided to get ahead of that release by perfecting their production and design of the chair. In the end, I am very happy with the GOG Trek Chair. I have had no issues with the first frame. Thanks to GOG for sending me the upgraded frame and their commitment to excellence for the backpacking community. #backpacking #getoutgear #hiking

I was part of the Crowdsource for this chair. I can attest that it is very comfortable--and so worth the weight. I also can confirm everything mentioned in this video. The customer service is above and beyond. I LOVE this chair.

Being in Europe I am not in the natural group of clients for this chair (customs and other trade barriers); but boy does this look like a good chair to bring on a hike. Lightweight design and easy to bring with you on a trip - now that is a winner in my book:) So credit to COG for the design and to you for a fun update:)

Imma have to try this one out. My chair is not high back and from Walmart plus it’s 2lb-ish so an upgrade sounds nice. I love my quilt by Get Out Gear so I definitely want to try this out. Thanks for sharing

Nice one Crow! Great to see a company stand by their product! Do you know the weight of the backing vs the frame? Ik you said 1.4 total but I'm looking for the breakdown because I'm a gear nerd 🤓

I think it is 1.4 without the poles. Those poles are about 7 ounces each. The poles are double the density, to make sure they are sturdy for the back supports of the chair. But, if you take piles anyway…dual usage. Appreciate ya! Crow✌️
