You guys...you're so funny together. 😄 You made me burst out laughing 4 times watching the video. Even after rewinding the funny parts and watching them over a couple of times they still made me laugh! Thanks! I needed that today. I like it when you guys hunt together anything can happen or be said. Keep having fun.
My Quest pro pinpointer kit is a matter of just a few stops away coming from Amazon I’m so excited! It’s the wand, digging tool, multi function shovel I can’t wait! Gonna be an all day detecting party! And 65 degrees…. Come on coins!
A hint for the Quarter Hoarder and company that may be helpful. I date coins for Archaeological digs and in the past we have found that a solution of Calgonite Water Softener made into a thick slurry will clean coins with no damage and no staining. It took care of patina that was on coins the size of a quarter but were almost a half-inch thick and after soaking for a week or so took it down to completely clean. Trouble is you cannot find Calgonite anywhere now which is why I am so happy to have bought many boxes years ago. However, some other brand of water softener that is powered and can be made into a slurry might work just as well. However, try that on a coin that has no, or little value to see if it can work. Your patina is nothing compared to that which we see out of digs in Israel. Happy hunting!
Thanks for sharing a great hunt and finds. Flying Eagle is an amazing coin to find. I hope to find one some day. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
The object that came up with the brass buckle I initially thought may be a rein guide, but on further reading it may be a 'gag swivel', part of the tack aimed at discouraging a horse from dropping its head.
The piece Doug found looks like a silver earring and I think it might be 1970s vintage. All cool finds though, guys! Lots of fun. Love all the joking around you do.
I live in southern tier New York and have been itching to get out with my detector but to much snow, and too cold. Any advice how to get permission to to detect on people's private property, I've never asked anyone to nervous that all they will hear is can I dig up your yard.
The easiest advice is to just be friendly and talk to them. Confidence is key, if they see you nervous and sweating it looks suspicious. Practice at a local church and ask the local pastor to detect their grounds. They are friendly by nature.
Hiya Jason, super hunt and finds, well done on your silver and flying eagle coin 😊👍 .. silver's all round for everybody 😊👍 .. glad to hear Doug wasn't constipated 😀 lol and he certainly done well sweeping three little shinies 😊👍 .. greetings from Liverpool. .. best wishes and HH Tina
@@QuarterHoarder ... would be great to meet you too Jason 😊 I don't go to Detectival, I have good permissions with good history were I live, but hey, never say never lol ..
Hello I hope to make it out there soon I have a couple of spots I have to get permissions take care some nice finds I came across some beer tap handles around 50 or so want to sell the whole lot let me know if interested
I know this is a little late ( still trying to catch up) but the thing you found that you said looks like a mold, I believe is the underside of a toy truck. Looks like the transmission and the points sticking out to the side looks like the axle. Maybe.
Maybe the dog tag belonged to the possum which some little kid thought was a dog all be it a ugly dog...and the dog got wacked and the kid had snot and tears flying everywhere? Hahahahahahahaaaa
Lol possums always get a bad rap...they are a shy nonconfrontational animal and they do not eat cats. They eat ticks, among other things and are good to have around.
the mold is 1/2 of chassis Hubley Kiddie Toy, Made in the USA, Lancaster Penn. No 485. made in the 1950's, cast aluminium. . As soon as I saw it I went and compared it with the one I have , you can fine them on ebay today , you'll have to discount yours, cause it's not all there. enjoyed the video thank you
Huh! Thanks for saying this. I just believed him because I didn't know any better... and... those teeth! I fact-checked YOU when I read your comment and was glad to come to the conclusion you are right! Living in a possum-populated part of Texas, I should have known this already, but don't keep pets so never really pondered it. Thanks for teaching me something interesting today. Possums do not kill cats. (Sorry to see you be wrong, Doug. Probably an urban legend.) Edit: Dang it, there may be some truth in it. There is at least one person online who claims a possum ran away with her kitten. Ok... way off topic. Signing off. Yer both probably right.
The button is basket weave. A mold for a transmission for a metal car. Jason flying eagle. Dog tag Doug with a trifecta awesome. Leroy with a Barber nice. Good video. HH
Hey gang, really awesome finds (I'm jealous)! Incredible find of that coin. I mean dog tag! 😜The shovel went right into the soil easily. Try that here! Lastly, that opossum had some mean teeth!
Awesome dig guys I am knee-deep in Ohio adiggted to metal detecting would love to dig with you guys sometime but I'm sure your list is long for people who want to dig with you great show Jason thanks again
@@QuarterHoarder well you know Square nail squirrel and you could see what we are digging in Ohio some days it's hot and find a lot of great stuff and some days nothing but trash I live in a harbor that was founded in the 1800's and it seems to be a place where a lot of people metal detect so it makes me pay extra attention to my numbers and tones thanks for the reply and all the great shows that you put on peace love live life dig. knee deep in Ohio Adiggted to metal detecting
20:30 its a half part of the under part of a toy car. You can see the back bumper, driving shaft, two exhaust lines each sides, the two notches where the wheels shaft would have been. the front part is broken!
Leroy’s round thing with the lion almost looked like an old clock pendulum, although the weird shank thing was a little suspect. But another good show as always 🤙
Yes I got it yesterday. Probably arrived a few days earlier but I don’t get to the Post office too often. I read the synopsis but haven’t drove into it yet. Probably this weekend. Thank you.
