My poetry was published 30 years ago so I will chance it,and I cant find it on the internet. Most was published in a small city . I have not found this information anywhere. Great job!!! $150-$300 a poem. Won't make much money? That is a lot of money to me.

I've never learned how to write poems, I'm afraid that mine are too simple with the AABB rhyme scheme. Would anyone mind rating one of mine? So energetic, looking for the thrill They feared one day it would get him killed Always in trouble, and was smart no doubt He was but a young boy, and not one to pout He was a young man, going through a hard time His family was dying, but he was nearing his prime Apprenticed to a cousin, to learn a new skill He worked hard days to get his fill He was a smart young man, owned a business Sailed the seas, opportunities were endless He worked as a merchant, made a good dime But it all went downhill with time The boy, now turned to a man Joined the army, formed a plan He progressed fast, his intelligence was showing His military skill was profoundly flowing The newfound Colonel led an expedition Success, success, on all of his missions But with success came newfound enemies They were jealous of all of his legacies The General kept winning, he built the first fleet Anytime he was in war, he packed on the heat An aggressive general, respected by the people But he was cheated by congress, right in a steeple He had suffered so much, and scorned by most All they did was take his credit and boast He defected to Britain, he tried to make it right But once he defected, the hate took flight A hero forgotten, with slander thrown He helped make America, now on his own Lived as a disgrace, hated by all Now his name lives in agony, as he took a fall
Alex Griffith I think this poem is excellent. I like how we see the boy progress through life in each stanza. The regularity of the rhyme scheme highlights the development in his life from a boy to a man and the events that incur. In your poetry you make use of language devices such as alliteration (I’m not sure if it was intentional, but it definitely adds a powerful impact to the poem). Great job.

I have more than 100 poems (My Words of LOVE) made for my future wife, never been published or posted in any social media. But right now hmmmmmmmm, I really dont know... maybe just another one more year, and if I'll not be able to find her I'm just gonna try to sell them all. 😅 You're taking too long to find me Babe..! 😑
