Probably the most underrated way to make your wardrobe last is learning to alter clothes. Sewing isn't that difficult, and sometimes all you need is a needle and thread to save your clothes from ruin.
I’ve been wearing the same jeans since I was a freshman. Yesterday, my favorite seamstress told me in so many words “ that ship has sailed.” I said ,“ they’re stretch.” She looked at me and said, “cheap.” When I sew it looks like something off Rambo.
Yes John!!!! The best back to school video - shutting down these notions of always needing to buy a million things/the newest items just because it's that "season" (back to school time has always been so interestingly tied to capitalistic gain) - instead, focusing on investments and routines, definitely taking notes from this as I prepare for my next semester of grad school. Best of luck back at school, super excited for you, the wisdom and perspective you'll continue to bring to every space.
Thank you so much for that video! I have actually been going to collage for almost 3 years now, and often been struggling with mental health issues. Just recently i realized that creating a nice environment, especially my room, and working with enjoyable utilities go a long way in improving my life and me being able to actually enjoy studying more and feeling more well rounded and secure. This video reminded me of some things that i gotta change, and reinforced my will that things like creating a nice environment are not just stupid gimmics. Take care and much love, and again, thanks for the useful content ♥️
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you will be saved. John 3:16 (share the good news of the gospel around the world!) Have a wonderful day/night, may the LORD bless you all, and farewell!,.,,,,,,.,.,,.
Just transferred to university after a 7 month gap. I needed this. Thank you! I decluttered my bag and am starting back John Fish style. I’m going to see how this goes.
I am currently in college and did an internship this summer which really motivated me to do more for my classes. These videos help me to stay motivated!
These video are always really interesting, informative, and motivational. Every time I watch these, I feel like I’ve aged a few years with the wisdom you give! Good work!

Great video John!! I'm a freshman and receiving advice from you helps a lot. Somehow you made me think of college as something not terrifying hahaha. Cheers mate!
It has been so trippy watching you grow up through the years. You're not that much younger than me but still 😂 i think i subscribed back in 2018? 2019? You're the same, but different.

Something I do, which I should had done years ago is put a timer to get up every 2 hours and take a break. Sometimes the hours just float away. Like, it can feel like only one or 2 hours went by when it actuality it was 5 plus!
John are you getting back into running on the cross country and track team? If so, would love to see how you prepare for college from the student athlete perspective as well.
@@TheCarloslucerna I thought so...I just would love to hear about him speak about his relationship with running generally, what it means to him, etc, as I’m assuming it’s a big part of his life (and for selfish reasons it’s a big passion of mine lol)
Hi John! I’m a freshman in high school, is it possible if you can make a video on tips in high school/time managing between academics and extracurricular students/ how to be successful in high school, etc...
I’ve been watching John’s videos for so long now, that I think I’d be completely lost if he stopped making them. It’s become a comforting routine now and I can’t imagine not having it.
Weird to see you still going to college, I believe we started at the same time and I already finished, currently doing my Masters, but I know you took a year off.

Looking forward to a video from campus. This year, there is the brainpower on campus to stop the pandemic, and to properly data-track climate change. All in one physical place. Hope you all connect. I see, well, startups happening. (I visited the campus in August, 2015.)
