Anton, the price (per kg) abattoir pays you per cattle is it for the carcass only? (excluding head, intestines and skin)? If that's the case do you sell those unwanted portions separately?
Do you have experience with feeding bana grass/Napier grass ? Keeping a shed/feed lot set up and have 4 to 5 hectares around the set up to systematically create a cyclical system where you harvest enough for summer feeding and save for winter as hay. I have seen couple of farms that were producing 40 tons of harvest per hectare in Philippines. and they were using the napier grass species.

Hi oom i hope all is well. I was wondering if it is possible for cattle to gain weight if you graze on grass and as an added extra feed them aswell? Im trying to get a daily gain of 1,2kg per a day. Do you have any suggestions on what i can feed them ? Im trying to graze and feed is it possible? Thank you for your videos they have helped so much 👏
My biggest challenge my cattle skip a year and give a calf the following year. They don’t want to eat any lick. My only hope now is injecting, AD3E and deworming
