1.) cut down on sugar, do fruit (sugar is the devil 😆) 2.) eat healthy fats (edamame, eggs, turkey, kale, kimchi, sauerkraut etc) 3.) study your body’s reaction to diet by detoxing, stay nutritious, healthy and happy, don’t eat to the point of discomfort 4.) cycle syncing, working out according to your cycle, walking if exhausted 5.) supplements: maca root, ashwaganda, magnesium (glycinate), l-theanine 6.) get lots of rest 7.) gua sha tool, self massage, massaging your stomach downward

Hormones have always been one of my fave parts of biology because they are literally just signals. In this case, we need cortisol signalling cascades to help us respond to danger, and to wake us up the in the morning. If you’ve got a build up of too much, you get an overactive nervous system, you also use more protein within the body and less glucose (sugar), meaning your blood contains more free flowing sugar, and your muscles are up taking less- aka, prone to insulin resistance and not feeling satiated. The truth is, our cells are trying to protect and help us the best way they know how; it’s up to us to serve them well so they don’t have to enact emergency processes so often and ultimately give us symptoms we don’t like. Thank you for attending my Ted talk, and thanks for the video Hailey! ❤😂

Here is a tip I found out by accident. I’m highly addicted to soda so I switched to non alcoholic ginger beer. You can buy it in store or make it. The benefits I’m seeing is crazy. I also crave less sugar. It’s like ginger ale but less sugar. My skin is also becoming clear and I never had clear skin in my life. If you don’t like Poppi or Olipop then this a good soda replacement.

As a massage therapist I would highly recommend NOT doing self-massage. Her pressure was totally off for a lymphatic massage which is supposed to be LIGHT pressure AND she was pushing down over her ascending and transverse colon which can be harmful to your digestive process, especially if you are already struggling with constipation. Don’t do it ladies! Pay for a massage or take the time to throughly study massage therapy before self-massaging.

@@TheGlowBarbieI try to go to the gym (full body, walk a mile and lift some weights, usually 45min-1hour) 2 to 3 times a week and if I can’t get there, just a one hour walk. I also don’t eat breakfast bc I personally don’t need to (everyone different!) so I’ll have either one really big meal around 3 or 4 or 2 smaller ones, around 12:30 and then 6. I cut out all soda (I also don’t drink coffee that much to begin with but I’d recommend cutting it down at least if you do), only water (I still drink ollipop every once in a while), and I don’t eat fast food anymore either. Fit in as much veggies (I try to make it a 1/4 of what I’m eating) and then try to make carbs come from rice, seeded whole grain bread, (I eat a lot of Mexican food so La Bandería corn tortillas are also on my menu), or whole grains like quinoa (aldis sells bags for like 3 or $4!!!). And most of all, think to yourself: I am losing weight and I deserve to look how I want. My body deserves to feel good. I just got out of a long binge period (I didn’t binge everyday but it felt like it) due to some emotional things in my life so I’ll see if I gained anything back, but make sure to have patience with yourself especially if you’re trying to do this alongside an ED. Just do it out of love!! Pinterest has helped a lot with finding healthy recipes, and I find I’m more up to sticking with the plan if I buy foods from farmers markets because I know where my food comes from then. Or a garden! Best of luck :)

Summarizing this video: 1. Eat foods that regulate blood sugar. OP mentions she uses the Pescatarian and Mediterranean diets. More research is needed to see if these will be beneficial for you. 2. Try cycle syncing and working out according to the phase in your cycle. Menstrual phase: very light exercise. None is okay as well. Follicular phase: light cardio. Ovulation: higher intensity workouts (think what makes you sweat the most.) Luteal phase: medium intensity (she doesn't elaborate) Walking is the metaphorical all-spice. You can do it at any phase and it will be beneficial. 3. Research what supplements are right for you. Be careful with Macca and Ashwaganda (the supplements she named) because many people react poorly to them and there's not a lot of research on them. I personally recommend Magnesium, Berberine, and all of the b-vitamins. 4. Perfect your sleep cycle. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday. Most women need 7-9 hours of sleep a day. 5. Do not attempt to detox your body. Juices are a fad. Biomedical scientists have debunked juice cleanses countless times. Look it up. Our bodies naturally detox and trying to force it along is horrible for your kidneys. So please disregard this segment of her video. However, her recommendation of saunas is awesome, but not for detoxing. It's good for skin and cortisol regulation. 6. Do full body and face massages. I do this personally as well and highly recommend it. You can look up "self massage" on RU-vid and you'll find some good tutorials. Dry brushing is great as well. 7. She speaks highly of Gua Sha for the face. I don't know much about it and there's not much science I could find, so do your own research. It possibly helps with face contouring and lymphatic drainage.

I loveeeed this video❤️❤️ a few tips related to blood sugar: If you’re out and want to drink - vine doesn’t increase blood sugar levels, great alternative to cocktails Eat a salat before your carbs And if you reduce sugar, keep in mind that sugar in fruits is still fructose, so basically sugar. It still increases blood sugar like any other sugar and so increasing for example mood swings and weight gain. Just eat these highly sugary fruits (mango, pineapple) after your big meals. Also, increased blood sugar levels mean glucose spikes. Moving after a meal will regulate it. If you regulate your blood sugar levels, you will naturally lose weight, be happier and sleep better. Most of your issues are related to your blood sugar.

Girl I literally got rid of my cortisol face in seven days with the Carnivore diet. I was eating the Mediterranean diet for a while now and it stopped working for me. I have learned veggies are so toxic and hard on the digestive tract they were causing me to swell up and become more insulin resistant. Plus veggies are high in oxalates. I have been eating red meat lamb, beef is highly nutritious and my swelling went away. My skin tightened as well, I can’t believe how my skin looks, it’s astounding. I also get to cut out most of my supplements, I was on so many supplements it’s exhausting. If Mediterranean ever stops working for you I highly recommend the Carnivore diet. I will begin another 30-day stretch in September. 2. Cutting out all added sugar (also a part of Whole30). 3. Cutting out all processed food. (Just try it for a month, see how you feel.) 4. Reducing empty carbs like bread, pasta. 5. Fasting daily (start off with even a 14-16hr fast daily, it will make a difference. I personally fast 36 hours, about twice a week. Helps with bloating and inflammation). 6. And ladies, don’t forget daily gratitude, prayer, and meditation, to start your day off right and reduce stress.

Hi Hailey, well once again you have come through with the information that I was seeking. I was just in my mirror last night asking God about the bloating that I was experiencing in my face and body. I got up this morning and turned on my television and there you were. First of all, I was excited to see that you had posted another video, but this one, just like many of your videos was an answer to prayer. It was right on time. God is truly using you and I am so here for it! Thank you soooo much for the time and effort that you take to bring us this wonderful information. I don’t take it for granted. I really, really needed this and appreciate it. May God continue to bless you because you are truly blessing me. ❤

It's been a privilege watching you go from stunning to stunning-est over the years🥲What you said about "eating as much fruit as you want" definitely has some merit. Sugar hits your body the hardest when there is no FIBER. So whole fruit/complex carbs are the most beneficial way to consume sugar. Not juice (even "no sugar added juices"), not a smoothie, a whole piece!

Great video! I’m a bit older than you 48 so perimenopause I still have my monthly cycle but about 2 years ago I started getting daily anxiety. I felt awful just restless all the time and I did notice my puffy face and a little double chin and a little cortisol belly. Ashwaghanda has really really calmed me down like nothing else! For balancing my hormones naturally I take Vitex ( Chastetree Berry) I will try Maca again in the past I got a lot of bloating. Love you all ladies thanks for sharing knowledge to help each other🌸

I felt better eating the right amount of fiber, carbs, fats and protein in every meal. Being Italian born and raised in italy, olive oil is my main source of fats, along with a bit of seeds with veggies and butter. Also I don’t reduce carbs or protein too much, cause I lost muscle in the past because of that. The right mix of nutrients in meals helped me regulate my hunger.

I was always someone who was active and ate relatively healthy, but I had a puffy face growing up and didn't know why. I always thought it was dairy, which I since cut down on because I'm sensitive to it. But, the puffy face didn't go away completely and I still experienced bloating. I started eating more whole foods and blood sugar balancing snacks just like the ones you showed on the screen and I swear by it. I never deal with puffiness or bloating anymore🥰 I always get something out if your videos and I love it✨️This was so helpful as always. I want to read that book called in the flo to learn more about cycle syncing

I have not went to get blood work done to see if I have cortisol face. BUT, I believe I have it. I naturally have a oval shaped face…and I definitely have a round face out of nowhere, and my stomach looks bloated. I can’t blame it on baby weight, because my daughter is 1 yr old going on 2 in a couple months. I will get blown work done soon to confirm, and will try your tips. Thanks for the encouragement ❤

So I love the video and suggestions ......I'm 55 and have high cortisol and blood sugar. Fruit has some nutritional value making it better than processed food but it will still spike your sugar. Your body doesnt know the difference between ice cream and fruit Along with cortisol get your estrogen and progesterone checked. If your estrogen is too high it will also cause weight gain in the middle and puffy face.

I’m so glad you posted this video. Back in 2019 I only worked out and ate healthy to have a nice body fast forward to today I am extremely lazy with my goals and my health is so bad, not only do I have PCOS, I have been dealing with increased blood sugar levels for I don’t know how long now. At 30 years old I am finally learning the importance of eating healthy for health not looks. I am 200lbs at 5’1 years ago I used to beat myself up because I was 140lb and couldn’t get to 130 and now my mind won’t let me work out because I know I have a road block on losing weight and it’s just so depressing to think about my weight ALL THE TIME. If I can give anyone advice it would be to please please please take care of your health.

Immediately added this to my "Lifestyle Changes" playlist as a future reference! Been re-thinking a lot about my health recently. Back in April, I had what my partner and I thinks was my first blood sugar crash. We were in Vegas for his birthday, eating pretty rich food and drinking every day. We had started eating better right before the trip and normally I consume alcohol maybe once or twice a month. So my body was in full "wtf" mode! I've had a couple more episodes since then, but they were when I fasted for too long. Really not sure what's going on, but I made an appointment with my primary care doctor to talk about it. Unfortunately the soonest appointment wasn't until October 🥲 I still made the appt though! I can imagine that implementing some of these tips to lower cortisol should help. We have a garden and chickens that just started laying, so I've been trying to eat a lot of fresh food at least! Thank you for posting, I'm sure lots of people find your videos very helpful 🥰
