I commented on this as well. It's interesting she didn't with this line since she almost always posts end of day and day 2. This line has lots of oils which aren't great for us fine haired wavy/curlies.

I'm so glad that you not only posted a video about frizz, but that you mentioned you are from TEXAS ❤ Texas humidity is a real problem for my hair. Mine is pretty similar to yours, but in all the previous videos I had watched of you, I kept wondering what part of the country you lived in as weather plays a huge role in day-to-day hair management and product selection. Now I have even more confidence that the things that are working for you are pretty likely to work for me as well. Thank you so much for all of the material! Just waiting for my order to arrive. The thing I love about Curlsmith is that they actually do what they say they do. Their products work perfectly. I mix and match them sometimes depending on what my hair needs at the time.

Thank you for this video! I've been eyeing these products and immediately went and bought the whole line from Ulta; the last on the shelf! We live in a very dry environment and they said they're having a hard time keeping the frizz control line in stock. I'm new to embracing my curls and thanks to all of your tips, tutorials, and these products, I'm having the best hair day that I've had in YEARS! It's soft and touchable with tons of volume. The style has stayed all day, which never happens with my fine but dense hair. I have more spiral curls with my waves than I realized. ❤ I can't wait to see what they're like once I'm out of the transition phase.

You always show us your day 2 results on your one brand wash days. Would like to see it. Also, typically I thought us fine haired wavy/curlies should stay away from products with lots of oils.
I love you Courtney but your hair is (imo) naturally pretty and smooth. My hair is very thick coarse and a lot of it. I… looked like Hermione from “ “Harry Potter” most if my time growing up😢😅.
I currently get that flexible cast with the hydro style flexi jelly. I also get that kind of cast with Treluxes gel. I will certainly add this line to my list of products to ty once I work my way through some of the other products I have purchased.
I noticed that some of the Curlsmith Shine products have been on sale at Ulta. I hope they don’t discontinue that line. That Shine strong 💪 hold gel is my favorite ❤️
I agree on wanting to see day 2/3 hair. But also would love to see these products on your sisters hair! Since there are ingredients that can act as protein and my hair and your sisters hair dont like that to much.. Hope you wil make this video, would be AWESOME!! 😊
And that brush is a game changer for me 🩵 The Curl Retainer is lovely-it doesn't have enough hold for me though, so I'm going to layer it with the styling souffle next time 💚
I usually do show this (more the night and 2nd day)! But I will say this wash day had great longevity! It was amazing by the end of the day and really good the next day!

Excited to see great results with a good cast. I’ve been enjoying and getting good results from curlsmith and wanting to try this line now too. You mentioned frizz can be added from drying methods. Even though this is specifically what you meant it made me curious if you use a heat protectant spray or product before you defuse.
I’m bracing myself for the warmer weather on the east coast. I live 1 mile away from the ocean. My corse dark hair always looks like trash it feels good in humidity but looks terrible. My goal is to wear my hair down this summer. 🤞🏼
Those results are BEAUTIFUL! The gel in this line seems super similar to the gel in the scalp recipe line. Which shampoo would you say this compares to the most in the other curlsmith lines?

Courtney, I have high porosity bleached hair low density very very thin. You can see my scalp through my hair and my hair is starting to snap and break because I can hear it. Will these products work for both of my issues since I need protein and moisture thank you for all you do.

This is the second time I've heard you mention the Bible verses. I am a Christian and I have prayed for your dad. Hope he's doing better. However, have you asked curlsmith if these are in fact Bible verses as it says something else there. I believe it's product # or something like that. Also today you showed L 1:18. That could only be Luke or Leviticus. Those two possible verses could not possibly apply. On my products I found the same thing. Also books of the Bible have well known abbreviations. These are very vague and wouldn't lead most people into the Word. I had to really rack my brain on some of them and I've been a Bible believing, Bible studying Christian since 1964. Today just L would normally be marked Lev. or Lk. I'd love to think you're right but sadly I have my doubts. In N out for instance makes theirs very clear. There's no mistaking that it's a Bible verse on the bottom of their cups. Anyhow, I do love your tee shirts and have ordered many. I do love your channel. This is no reflection on you and I'd love to know what curlsmith says about it. If it's true, I hope they make it more clear. ❤❤🙏🙏

I just found your channel. Am learning SO much. My waves are lasting at least 2 days and looks okay on day 3. 😊 It seems like you use more shampoo and conditioner than I am used to. Is that so you can show us the characteristics of the product? I can see I will become a wavy hair product junkie!
Speaking of conditioners - my hair is easily over-moisturized and I have found a perfect conditioner - it detangles my hair really instantly and doesn’t weigh it down no matter how long I have it on my hair - it’s Babo Botanicals

Thanks for this video. I've been interested in this since they dropped it, but I'm concerned the ingredients may be too heavy for me. I buy the jumbo bottles of the Glow Perfecting Conditioner and the Curl Quenching Conditioning Wash because I love them so much, but may have to try this out. None of the CurlSmith gels work for me because all of them give me flash dry, but I may have to try a travel size of this gel if I can find one. I'm in Austin and the heat and humidity have been BRUTAL this year. Ouidad Advanced Climate Control gels in Stronger and original hold have been my summer hero products for years, but I'm always willing to try something new.
I really want to lobe Curlsmith but I just haven't had a ton of luck with a lot of their products. I haven't been in love with a lot of their shampoos, my least fave was the one thats supposed to be clarifying. I found it to be the opposite, had to use a ton of product to get my hair feeling clean. Do not like the In Shower Style Fizer but in all fairness I think its just to heavy for my waves. I. DO however like the Milti Tasking conditioner and Bond Curl from the strength line. I haven't tried any of their other stylers so far.
Hi Courtney. I'm brand new to this styling my 'bad' hair curly.😉 I just ordered every product you tried here as I was looking like I needed to be lint brushed for all of my frizz. Am I correct that 'plopping' is towel scrunching and that you do that on wet but scrunched hair and after you apply your styling product? Then finish with 90% diffuse drying.
Courtney, I need help. I just had 3-4" cut off the ends due to dryness etc. The hair stylist "tested" my hair and said my frizziness is not due to lack of protein, but lack of moisture. I tried doing the wayer test for porosity a couple of times and the strands just float on top, unless I push the hair into the water in which case it stays down. So, I'm thinking the hair is low porosity? It is also gray and multi-textured. I never had these issues when I used to color my hair. The next problem I have is a multitude of allergies! It started with hair coloring and just snowballed. 😢 This makes it difficult to find a good deep, non-protein conditioner for my hair. Hence the long, giant frizz ball that is my hair. Could you recommend a few good moisturizing non- protein deep conditioners that I can look into? I realize they may still be something I can't use due to an ingredient I may be allergic to. But I figure it's a start. Thanks.
Do you think it's possible to have better curls after highlights because of porosity? I ask because I haven't highlighted my hair in almost a year and have been using a darker demi permanent color instead, and am finding my curls aren't nearly as springy as when it was highlighted 🤷🏽♀️
How well does the Bounce Curl brush get through dense hair? I find that The Perfect Haircare brush just doesn't make through all of my hair... it just brushes through the surface layers. I need a wide-tooth comb to make it through all of my hair. Am I making any sense in describing what I mean?
I can't speak to the newest Bounce Curl styling brush, but their detangling brush has very flexible teeth that do not hold up against my thick hair. The only brush I've found that can get through all of my hair's thickness is the Aveda wooden paddle brush. I use it to brush products through when I get out of the shower. In the shower for detangling I use the Tangle Teezer that is made for type 3c to 4c hair (even though I have type 3ab), because it has firmer teeth that can withstand more density. I hope this helps.
They feel like they would do really well in cold dry climates to me. I haven’t thoroughly tested out these products in super cold, dry climates, but I think they work great.
