Hi Friends!
Are you struggling to overcome a “pain in the butt” sensation? Do you ever wake up feeling agonizing pain all the way from your upper thighs to your feet? Do you deal with nagging lower back pain that spreads downward and won’t seem to quit no matter what you try? You could be dealing with sciatic nerve pain, also called sciatica, which causes painful throbbing in the lower back and limbs. I am here to help you feel better!!
Overcome Sciatic pain with this exercise routine designed specifically to help stabilize the pelvis and muscles of the hips, core, and butt to prevent and treat pain. In this video, I’ll guide you through simple stretches and strength exercises that will relieve sciatic pain and tension.
You’ll begin this therapy based workout session with a few simple stretches that will likely stop your pain immediately. Then I will lead you through a series of key exercises to strengthen your core, legs, and butt. These moves will help you develop the strength you need to stabilize the pelvis and live without sciatic pain. Once you are pain free continue to practice these exercises on your own to bring long lasting relief and prevent future flare ups.
Many doctors will tell you that you should stop training or stop the sport that caused the pain, however I believe that it is possible to overcome Sciatic pain and it’s symptoms with proper management and therapy based exercises like the exercises in this video. Movement is medicine. A regular physical stretching and strength routine will help you get rid of sciatic pain and live tension free. Repeat this routine as much as needed to keep your body feeling its best and live without sciatic pain.
As always you MUST check with your doctor, physical therapist, or health care team before starting this or any exercise routine. This video is not a replacement for medical advice or treatment. If you are dealing with sciatic nerve pain, I suggest watching the video all the way through FIRST before trying any of the movements. You may need to begin slowly with 1-2 exercises at a time before moving through the entire video. Once you start to feel better, you'll hopefully be able to use the whole video routine to keep your sciatic nerve healthy and happy.

I didn’t sleep last night and woke up feeling the pain while dropping my children off to school. I thought let me try to stretch and exercise this out because I hate meds!!! I found your video! I feel better! I believe if I continue doing them daily and trust God, I won’t feel this sciatic pain! Thank you for sharing!! ☀️♥️🥰

I’ve had an L5 s1 herniation back in 2012, I’m only 30 years old now. Microscopic surgery was a miracle for me, but I knew I had to follow up the surgery with PT and rehab. I’ve watched a lot of RU-vid videos since ‘12 on sciatic pain alleviation and stretching. The result, I’m virtually pain free now and have lost a bunch of weight (30lbs) 2 waist sizes went from 36 to 34/33. These exercises work! If you do them enough like Caroline recommends, you will start to feel better. And remember it cannot be achieved overnight.

I know time has moved on since making this video, but I am a 51 year old male. I have had terrible sciatic pain. When I first began this video I was struggled. I had zero flexibility. But now, two weeks later, doing this daily, the sciatic paaon has decreased considerably and I am alot more flexible in movement. I am very grateful for this and, when ready, I'll move to something on a next level.

Hi, I'm a 56 year old man who's been dealing with sciatic pain in my right hip. I looked for stretches on RU-vid to help with this and yours was the first I found. I have to say, " after the first time doing your routine, I felt better the next day, today was my second day and I feel so much better overall. Hi. Am namwiinga. Have had pelvic pain but after child birth my entire spinal bone has been in pain. But after these exercises I feel some relief. Will keep doing them as I can foresee total healing. Thanks a lot

I absolutely love these exercises. I am 50yrs old and I do this everyday now and it has made a HUGE difference to my body. You can feel it stretch you out...feel your abs and much more movement in my hips. EVERYDAY. Thankyou Caroline.

Caroline I have had really bad sciatic pain for the past three weeks. I started following this video twice daily and it has been about four days now. I feel so much better! I wake up every morning with less and less pain. I appreciate you posting this video. This has been a miracle and a life saver for me. Thank you Caroline!! I was skeptical at first - recommended by a coworker. Your workouts really do help. I’m former college athlete and currently electrical Lineman by trade. My lower back pain has been getting increasingly better. I’ve been doing it for about 4 weeks now 3x a week. I recommend this to everyone! It really makes a difference.

I’m over 65, male, and have only recently been experiencing what appears to be sciatic pain. I stumbled upon your video on RU-vid and I am trying it for the first time. For me, your routine is reasonably easy and it seems it’s what I’ve been searching for. I find it even easier as you have a very calm and reassuring and positive texture in your voice. I jared my lower back when slipping off the step on my 4X4 truck. I had a CT Scan, and everything looked good. I then began looking on RU-vid for sciatica pain yoga relief. I tried several, but your video was the absolute BEST! I'm now able to do these everyday. You may never see this Caroline as this video is so old however I just found it today, I have been battling Sciatic pain for most of the last 6 months and the various drugs I have been placed on have done very little to relieve the pain. After even just the first stretches you have shown have made a world of difference. Even if from the first day of doing these exercises only gives me temporary relief I can say that this morning has been my first near pain free morning in 6 months. The pain has dropped from a 7 out of 10 to less then 1 I will be doing these exercises every day from now on. Thank you for this video, you are a saint.

Thank you so much Caroline! I am fully recovered from sciatic pain 7 months ago and now I am back to my normal life. The pain lasted for about 8 months, but the change was quicker after I started doing these exercises. Initially, I couldn't do every movement that you mentioned, but I was able to do more movements later. Thank you again!

This woman may not have any pain but she knows what she’s talking about. I have run for 3 1/2 months with pain. Today I have none doing the stretches and strengthening exercises she has given us. Just do the best you can. Everyone starts where they are. Obviously, she is fit. Way to go mam. You’re doing a great job, thank you!

Hey! Dancer here!! Been struggling with sciatic pains for a couple years. I’m 23. It affects my ability to turn out evenly (right side is blocked starting from sciatic nerve, around the hip, down the side of the thigh). I really feel it in any straddle position ; butterfly a la seconde etc. Tried your vid in my bed and first of all felt amazing. Then at the end of it all, popped into my butterfly and......SERIOUSLY. NO. PAIN. Right side feels warm and relaxed. It’s a damn miracle. I think my fav thing is how convenient it is I can do it while laying down and watching tv. Actually do something with this laziness! Going to be doing this every night for a month and hopefully I can reach my goals of opening my straddles and evening my hip flexibility!!!!! Thank you!!!

I had a hip injury a few years ago that lead to sciatic pain and a few thousand dollars in PT bills. I eventually had to have a cortisone shot to go on a domestic adventure trip. That saved me! They recommended core strengthening and I think this is just the thing. Those stretches and strength building techniques are helpful and doable. Just in the past few days I've had sharp pain in my hip again. After one workout I am able to walk normal without a lot of pain. You are very likable and easy to listen to with no fancy frills. One video I tried, they were working out by a pool and I just kept thinking "I wish I was there". I like that there are no distractions in your video. Thank you. This could save someone a lot of money on PT care.

This is just what I was looking for! I’ve been given stretching exercises by my chiro but never core strengthening ones. Since I’ve stopped doing yoga because of pain I’ve become flabby round the middle. I now have something that will not only stretch and relieve pain but will tighten my core without creating more back problems. Thank you.

Good morning Caroline! Delilah here. I have now used 2 of your sciatic pain videos including this one for the first time today, and I do feel the difference. I have been following this video for a few weeks. At first some of the exercises were a little too difficult but I have persevered and improved. This is one of my absolute favorite stretching routines for hips and legs. I had a static nerve issue in the past recently and after doing these exercises it went away! I also like to do this every morning when I wake up before work. It has been a game changer for me. Thank you so much for this!

Caroline,I loved these exercises! I was having considerable pain in my hip and buttock area and it was sore to massage.I found your exercises and did them as best i could before i went to work and I felt better and better as the day went on! I've been needing a strengthening exercise routine so I was so thankful to find this routine that could be done in 20 minutes! I loved it so much,I did it again after work! It has definitely helped loosen things up and relieve the pain!Thankyou for making and posting this video!

Hi Caroline found your video! Have been suffering with sciatica for 6 weeks and doing everything possible for it. It has eased up but i found throughout the day tightness and stiffness sets in on my right leg so it’s excruciating to bend it. Anyhow just did your workout ( had done some similar stretches) but a few new ones challenged me. Have to say after I finished my legs felt much better. This was awesome and thanks for this. I had been really impressed with this sciatica pain guide called MySciaticaPain9.blogspot.com In most instances, the alignment of my knees, hips as well as back is retained because of this. I no more experience painful feelings each and every time I get up. In addition, I noticed advancements in my knees due to this program. .

Thanks to u..I was able to drop by ur site and now im ur devoted follower.I been suffering lower back pain since 2011.Undergo MIR then PT fir 3years but still the lower back pain is there.Cant stand for 5seconds , I felt pain on my lower back..I luv u.I been doing this for two hours.Step by step inhaled and exhaled every position for 400seconds each and Shared this video to my sisters and batchmates69'ers Im from Davso city, Philippines. I just watched you video. I'v had sciatica since 2010 but it have gotten worse the last 6 months. I have pain in my lower back to my buttocks down to my right leg to my calf. Unbelievable pain. I sit all day at my job working in a cost center. Once I get up I can not straigten my back as I walk. Epidurals have not work. My nutritionist told me to go to youtube and find some exercises for sciatica relief.I just watched you video and enjoyed the excerses. I will continue these excercises twice a day. I definitely benefited from this series of exercises! I have a large 12 mm disk herniation, which resulted in strong pain and blocking the leg nerve after a minute of standing up. I had to spend 6 weeks mostly on the floor. I was doing these and some other exercises. Of course, my trauma was so bad that I could damage myself even more if I did all exercises, so developing the councious feeling of my body was critical. Physiotherapie didn't help at all, they just did a light manage. I got a surgery scheduled eventually. But, a miracle happened: I sneezed and my herniation moved somewhere, so I didn't feel the pain while standing up. The surgery was cancelled! It still took a few months to fully recover - I couldn't sit down at first, so I got used to working at the computer standing up and I continue doing so after recovery. I think, my recovery happened thanks to these exercises, which I did many times a day. Thank you Caroline Jordan 🙏🏻

At the moment I can't do child's pose without whimpering at least slightly. Almost every exercise in this video is excruciating for me, so the comments about how amazing it feels are a little tough to listen to while I'm trying not to cry. That being said, I think the pain during the exercises during this video can help me regain some of my flexibility, especially if I listen to my body and don't try to copy her range of motion until I'm stronger again.

I think that’s a good point you make about the range of motion. You adapt these exercises to do what you are able to do, not copy exactly. Otherwise there’s a chance that you can become demoralised and give up because you can’t copy the exact range of motion demonstrated on screen.

I have had sciatica for over 7 months. Two months to a chiropractor, one month physical therapy, three sets of shots, one epidural and two L3,4 and L 4,5. Still loads of pain. Your video is helping me. Thank you so much.

Doing this video along with seeing a chiro, doing his exercises, and doing heat pads at home, my sciatic pain improved. I also get a little heat going and see a difference in my abs from doing this video. Great length, too. The only exercise I have trouble with is the roll up, I get pain between my shoulder blades, so I do something else there. Thank you, Caroline.

I am a veteran and was shot in my left leg while I was in Afghanistan in 2007 they took the bullet away but the leg hasn’t been the same since I’ve had this pain for about 4 weeks seen the doc and physios but doing you stretches today has helped me as I am very active walking running climbing etc thank you form Scott in Oban Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This is brilliant! I’ve been doing it twice a day for the past 3 days and it has made a huge difference. I’m no longer medicating for the sciatic pain and am sleeping much easier. I can even feel my stomach muscles strengthening already ❤️

Thank you for sharing this with us! I have been hurting so much since I fell down my stairs and it has hindered me in many ways. I've been trying to find relief, without having to take a bunch of pills! I was desperate to find some relief this morning because I have things to do and I hurt too much! I did it one time and my pain has already decreased! You're video was inviting and I didn't have an issue keeping up with or doing the exercises! Keep doing what you do! Thanks a bunch!

my God, you are a life saver! been suffering from sciatica for a like year since the birth of my 3rd child. I try to work through pain as i don't like painkillers, apart from the odd occasion. I have invested in weekly massage, acupuncture, and dry cupping in the last 3 months. it helped a great deal but it's so expensive to keep up. it's been a couple of weeks since my last session and it's seems like the pain has renewed itself. I did all these stretches today and what a relief. I'm also trying to lose baby weight gain so thank you for the exercises

Making use of it finally takes away the nasty feeling of sciatica pain and the pressure it gives on my back. These exercises always make me feel better while doing them but then it's the rest of the day with pain and misery. Standing 10 hrs a day at my horrible job isn't helping either. I have the pain down my left leg and sometimes I'd come home with a swollen left leg :(

Thank you for the precise exercise for sciatic pain. I've been doing them for a week, it really hurt doing them in the beginning but just did as much as I could and it's getting better. I have been doing this exercise since early 2017 when I experienced a slipped disc that resulted in severe sciatic pain . Think I've done it every week since ,and I found it to be the best routine of all that I have tried. Caroline, you taught me that ,"movements is medicine ". You are so right.
