Sagos are heavy. You’re lucky that there wasn’t any root balls. They grow wide, so don’t plant them near walkways, etc.. Folks in my area of SoCal are constantly giving away Sagos because they were planted where they would be in the way as they got bigger. Sagos don’t look attractive when the fronds are pruned, so they need to be moved or gotten rid of if they out grow a space. ~ Free plants, garden supplies, dirt, mulch, etc., are easily found online in many areas.
@paulplantu
@paulplantu 3 года назад
Facts, I appreciate the comment! Yeah the freeze in Texans killed all the fronds and I’ve seen a lot of people lose patience waiting on them to come back. I think that was the situation with these. Regardless I love the look of them and can’t wait to see if they transplant.
@Nhoj31neirbo47
@Nhoj31neirbo47 3 года назад
@@paulplantu - Yep, Sagos are slow to recover from damage of any sort. They can take a couple of years to really take hold and grow properly when transplanting. But they are great looking, so worthy of some patience, I feel.
