Pretty sure he recently he stepped it up to 149 thunder hollow lights now bc they look wider now... He must've misspoke mad pros dont know this number shit, Youness Amrani said in his setup video he rides 149 venture lows when he really rides 5.25 venture lows which is 8" (139) not 8.5" (149)... Some pros are clueless about products they just skate, Paul Schmitt told me Nyjah is super particular about his deck tho and always switching it up making little tweaks...

he probably realized that they suck and are gimmicks, fkd were my worst bearings ever......p rod gold sigs...........trash...and silver trucks the company that only until recently only sold sizes up to 7.75.

andola jackson ya iknow i got the nyjah fkd's and one busted out on me and couldnt skate for 1 month cuz i couldnt afford new bearings and silver trucks i havent ridin personally but they only really make small sizes and the kingpin gets caught cuz its so high but im cool with him on bones but i didnt see him for thunder

ikr i was like tf im still using my 139 indys on my 8.38, "reynolds sais he sticks to 139s and he rides 8.5s" id figure id go with the pro tip that has his habits and niches, over spending 50$ on new trucks just because i stepped up from 8.13 to 8.38, and i didnt want to go 8.25 in between just in case it wasnt enough of a difference...but if and when i do buy new trucks they are going to be thunder 149s lights for sure no reason to get 149indys when the 139s are just fine.......i just want to see the"results/differences" with these hollow/light trucks and if they are worth all the hype over the classic originals that the pros learned and got to where they are now on

andola jackson Its because nyjah does more rails and reynolds does more drops and gaps. The wider the boards the more sturdy, the wider the truck better lock in on grinds.

TECCANN9NE I agree...there’s no way 149 thunders would fit an 8.125 Board...I bought 149s in like January (big mistake) and I put them on an 8.25 and the trucks were way too big. I skate thunder 147s now...best trucks out there tbh!

Initially, I thought they were 51mm, since nyjah claimed a year or two ago he prefers 51mm to 50mm; however, I can now be certain to tell you these are in fact 50mm. They only make this wheel in 50mm and 53mm.

I have them in 51 mm tho

What size trucks should you run with that deck ? I've been out of skating for a very long time , someone please help me out with the common combinations for width to truck size .
