Anyone notice how intelligent Jerry is? The way he considered the word "passion," realized it wasn't correct, then used "interest" instead. This sort of intelligence is vanishing from the world.

Something that struck me as interesting - when he was talking about shooting fast and being mechanically limited by the action speed of a firearm, and Jerry noting that revolvers are only limited by your finger. Heh - thats how you know you're kind of in a class of your own - when you choose a revolver because it shoots faster.

Best thing I learned watching this? How you met your wife. I never knew she was a part of that family. Awesome woman.

This guy is truly a great American 🇺🇸. I was so delighted to meet him at a competition in Colorado. He was so gracious and kind.

I was having a rough start to my day. I'm ok after watching this

Really enjoyed this one. I was raised the same and was a mechanic then a tool & die maker machinist the in79 a machinist for the Air Force. Manufactured my first revolver in the Air Force in my spare time with some really good metals. Had my first BB gun at 5 and by 6 I would have to shoot 10 bb's and hit them with bb gun with using only 10 shots at 15 ft. In order to get more bb's to shoot. I was raised with guns all my life. I am 60 years old now and have been in a wheelchair for the past 37 years. I love shooting all firearms and love ccw 1911. Wish I could do the things you do but I don't see it happening lol. As I have continually said this is the elder statesman of the shooting sports. Mr. Miculek you exemplify all that this great sport can be, not only through your commitment to shooting but also in life in general. Huge respect from the UK. I watch an unhealthy amount of shooting videos as, in my country, actually getting out and shooting is practically impossible. Guys like Jerry have inspired me to do whatever it takes to get shooting and I have recently been accepted to medschool. Once I'm qualified, it will be my ticket to the US so I can finally start living (shooting). I can't thank all of the US shooters/content creators enough for giving me my direction and making me understand that my studies will be worth it. I'll be over there soon!

Mr. Jerry, I'm just a year older than you I enjoy this sport a lot. WishI could shoot like you but, that has come and gone for me. I do enjoy making friends in the competition but, I have been for last four months. I broke my right foot and VA is trying to adjust some of my meds. But God bless you Jerry you do make my day brighter.

I am couple of years older than Jerry and have loved shooting since I was a boy a gazillion years ago. Sadly, Smith and Wesson never heard of me... Over the years my passion has moved me to shoot my hunting rifles at long range targets; out to about 1200 yards or so. There is something wonderful about pushing to the limits of your capabilities.

Awesome video. I knew we were about the same age. I went to the Air Force from Texas in 1975, been shooting all my life, and my Dad, Brother and I have stayed together thru shooting for all these years even though my Brother and I both stayed in the Ari Force 20 years. Getting geared up to go to the range again and sight in our rifles for Deer hunting as soon as it COOLS OFF in Texas. Thanks Jerry.

We didn't get to shoot in our youth but in our old age, (I'm 2 years younger than you) we are trying to make up for it. Thank you so much for telling us your story. I hear ya! We share similar experiences. This describes my youthful years. The 1930’s and 40’s have often been described as being much simpler times. And, I agree. In the Bear Creek Community in Bienville Parish during those simpler times, there were no telephones, no electricity, no running water, no central heating, no air conditioning, no television sets, no tractors, no prepared foods to purchase, and no indoor bathrooms or toilets. And, not every family had a car. Well, we did have an air conditioned outhouse-It was really air conditioned in the winter months. Yep, you are correct. On our hill farm we needed to take advantage of every minute of daylight to "git r done." I was dragging a Winchester Model 74 along the creek banks when it were longer than I were...
