So I noticed you always lower the hammer before starting. Is that because of the rules? Any way do you actually shoot the gun in double action? Or do you do some crazy cowboy bob munden holster draw cocking thing?
i really enjoyed this and think these drills are going to be excellent for me being a new shooter, but i had a question, i noticed in your grip you wrap your fingers around the trigger guard, is there any reason for this? is it a technique thing or a comfort thing? i ask because i was told by other instructors not to do this and would like your input.
Daddy shot competition used a .38 spl colt python or its equivalent back in late fifties. At age 63 he was invited to a police match and won the match! Remember as a kid watching him dry snap training. only S&W we own is a k frame .38 spl target model. Smooth ! Other one was just like the one in video. 27-2 .357/38 nickle with 8 3/8". Sadly, a family mber stole it 😢. That 27-2 firearm was superb in every instant. Own 2 black Hawk rugers 357/38. They're okay firearms but not up to same standard as the S&W. Really enjoyed this video felt like listening to my dad & his team as a kid in the late 50s... 22:21

Great video, gave me something to try so as not to get bored doing the same thing just hitting paper. It gives you a lot of things to practice. Take care, Be safe.
Jerry, isn't going to reply to you on a 9 year old video. As for shooting a pump while walking side to side. Lead your target a bit in the direction you're walking. If your issue is recoil while moving. Change ammunition, get an adjustable choke, port the barrel. Whatever helps mitigate the recoil impulse best.
Bump stocks are a gimmick. If people would put effort into learning proper marksmanship and practice correct techniques, they wouldn't need gimmicks to try and keep themselves entertained.
If you look back you'll see that repubs do as much harm, I'd argue more, than dems to the 2a community. Facts, look it up. And Trump cut taxes, for the wealthy, not for us. Also facts.
From what I've seen on ranges, forget about the drills. They just need to learn some safety and etiquette. All the ranges I frequent, in order to do drills you need to be pre-certified by a RO, not RU-vid.
Ok I just tested it on my revolver now (yes one revolver and ironically it’s ACP. I use my left hand on the cylinder as I just said. I did it a few dozen times but instead of just doing it and did it slow,y so I could examine my muscle memory. I put pressure on the MIDDLE flute
I’m left handed. I usually hold the grip in my right hand and use my left hand to open. I obviously try to close or open while holding instead of slamming but I’m not very cognizant of whether I pre top or bottom
