DUDE, I LOVE YOU! It's 3 months i'm engraving with a 20W laser that barely does better than my previous 5W... and you know why? It was working at 3.9W.... Yesterday thanks to you i've unleashed all the 20W and filled the room with smoke...

@SimoneFestuccia
@SimoneFestuccia 2 дня назад
@@mightydtwentycent5921 ehhh it passed too much time and not I do not remember the correct setting I had, but since max power was set on a scale from 1 to 255, instead 1 to 1000, setting output to 80% of already limited outpuit lead up to a 3.9 teorical output. but I didn't use any power meter, they cost too much. What can I say, is that after i followed this instruction, I've been able to cut trough 1.5CM wood.

I have to say that this method does not apply to all diode lasers. I have a Artur 20W laser and it cuts perfectly through 1/4" plywood at an S Value Max of 1000. So I cannot imagine setting it to 10000. But common sense tells me do not mess with good enough. I did like your video as you were informative, thank you.

I have a 5.5watts can I apply this to my ortur and what would be the change right now both at 1000 thank you for your assistance
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman 10 месяцев назад
So if both your setting match up you should be good. By adding a 0 to both… it won’t do anything “extra”. It doesn’t change the actual power of the laser. It only makes sure your machine is using its full potential which in your case is 5.5w. Hope that helped a little more and thanks for watching!!!

Dear blogger, hello, I would like to ask about the dust collector produced in China, the motor is 220V, how can it be used in the United States, do I need to connect another line.
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman 10 месяцев назад
If it’s 220 your definitely going to need to install a 220 outlet with plug to match. I would consult with an electrician before you make any moves.

Hi buddy, first of all thank you for the video, it sped up my cutting time which was quite slow but I'm wondering one thing, will this shorten the my laser life? will it break? or is this really the setting that it should have because when I connect my laser to my PC it automatic finds it and when it does it doesn't automatically load these settings to it?
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman

It will not. You’re not over clocking the power…. Just bringing it to 100% of its optimal power. Thanks for watching!!!

@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman Месяц назад
Thanks so much! @roadcrayon1525 is 100% correct. If you hold shift…. Then drag your cursor…. It will stay a perfect circle. If you don’t it will be oblong. Worst case make sure you unlock the dimensions and hand type the exact same measurements you need in both Width and Height then Lock it again! Thanks for Watching!!!

absolutely true . The values have to be the same , it doesn't matter what the number is as long as they are the same on both screens .. * when you have got this setting correct then turn the "running laser "setting down if you feel your laser is up too high you do not necessarily need to cut at 100% in a lot of cases. But at least you know you can if you want to . good video 👍👍👍👍

@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman

1,000/1,000 is fine. If both are the same you’ll be running at true 100% power. 10,000/10,000 is the same too. It’s not telling to pump more power only a % of 100% power.

So does running it for several hours to make the same cuts that would take 20 mino. I have a Laser Tree K 30 and would like to get at least 50-70% of its capable power output and cut materials in a reasonable amount of time. I spent all night trying to cut letters out for a sign and it wasn't pretty. Not to mention all the extra carbon I had to sand off the first layers and re cut ones that broke while doing so. I'm not an angry person but if I hadn't came across this information. I might have ended up on a primetime news segment about people who feel unhinged rage around technology
