The whole shed looks amazing! Nine Nine is not only the cutest he is the entertainment. How many days do you plan on sleep testing that new mattress when you receive it. A little privacy for Mom and Dad and not to mention A/C. I guess I will stay tuned for the big reveal. LOL!

Wow, an actual Praying Mantis. Nine nine so wants to play with the kitten and it is not having it. Nice augering! We spend about half our time looking for tools too! I'm so happy when I remember where I used it last if it isn't in the tool chest. My husband was wonderful and bought me a stacking tool chest set on wheels and it only took me 5 years to put the tools in it. Ha, ha right? Most of the time they get put back in there but sometimes they still get "lost". Tools are great. I had the majority of tools when we got married. Those anchors look great. I agree, sometimes it is just easier to mix by hand. Loved all the fasrm animal shots. Thanks for this. See ya tomorrow. I guess I blinked. Looks so good inside! I saw the TV!

Wow just so beautiful. When I saw the spray around the window and then the bottles above, I was wondering how hard it would be to have a spray of bottles from up high and then wavy spraying down around a window? And maybe on the west or east side so light would just slip through all the bottle bricks? That would be so pretty. However, maybe I should also explain, that I always have what I think are great artistic epiphanies… And then when I try to do the actual work, it’s like my brain speaks a completely differently language than my hands and it goes sideways. Sometimes avalanche sideways. Anyhoo just beautiful work. And I just imagine your whole family must stand there and look in awe at what you all built!!! Together!!!! Together as a family!!! WOW!!! I was hoping that you would give just a few minutes of specs? Dimensions and apx square feet How many feet of bags How many yards of fill material in those bags Maybe a “yard” pile of fill material and then “ So this is what one yard of fill material looks like and in the walls of our solar shed there is about xxx yards of fill material in these bags” Thank you and again WOW!!!! Michele

Hey Guys, one thing I noticed. When you were moving the brackets, that will hold your post, back and forth. They seem to not want to stay where you put them and I'm just wondering if you pushed your cement away from the brackets and you have a void underneath. I don't know if the cement was liquid enough to flow back underneath or not. I just hope so. You guys amaze me every time I watch your videos. Having never done this kind of thing before you are certainly doing a good job. If I was still living in the United States I would probably be doing something like what you and so many others are doing. I watch 4 different channels and enjoy each and every one of them. I am starting my own building project next year in Northeastern Thailand next year. It is just a little bigger than what you guys are doing. It will take a crew of 6 one year to build. They don't build out of wood here because they don't have the trees that we have in the States. Most construction is done with steel and concrete. The labor is pretty cheap here, about $1.00 per hour. I will be feeding them a lunch each day but that's less than a dollar per meal. The land is always the biggest cost in building in Thailand. It used to be cheap but inflation has hit here too. We only have one acer but the house will only take up 1/4 acer. Then behind the house will be a 1/4 area aviary that's 35 feet high and the rest is a pond and raised bed garden. It will be nice when it's done but a lot of work to get there. I talk too much. LOL
@jamesclark9347
@jamesclark9347 2 года назад
Please pay those people more than a dollar an hr.
@theadventuresofbrockinthai4325
@theadventuresofbrockinthai4325 2 года назад
@@jamesclark9347, No, not for general labor. If they are skilled labor then that's different. If you lived in Thailand you would understand. People are very happy to work for a dollar an hour and in Thai money it's 30 baht. They normally work a 10 hour day so that's 300 baht per day. What that means to them is they have enough money to feed their family for a week and enough for gas in their scooter. The next 4 or 5 days they can put in savings and maybe buy some beer for the weekend. You never pay them untill after work on Friday. If you pay them on a daily basis you will not have a crew tomorrow.

Are you capturing the worms and other creepy crawlers to feed to the chickens? Less moths that way. Which is always a good thing. I like it when I am on speaking terms with tools. Sometimes tools are uncooperative which can delay projects.

@TinyShinyHome
@TinyShinyHome 2 года назад
You can definitely build them in a way that adding on is totally an option. We will not be adding on to this structure though. It has to stay under 200 sq ft so we don’t have to pull a permit on it.
@hakeem4802

@@TinyShinyHome oh wow, is that an Arizona rule? I'm looking at a few earthbag education books online. Do you have any particular recommendations on reading material?
@TinyShinyHome
@TinyShinyHome 2 года назад
@@hakeem4802 It's just a requirement for buildings in our county. If it's over 200sqft you have to go through them, pay the fee, get it approved, etc... If under 200sqft we do what we want :)
