Domenico DeMarco has been making pizzas at Brooklyn’s famous Di Fara Pizza since 1965. Still haven’t subscribed to The New Yorker on RU-vid ►► bit.ly/newyorke...
Get to Know a New York City Pizza Legend | The New Yorker
I think it is somewhere in-between his wonderful accent, the music and his message. I dont mind not figuring out though, where it is exactly. Just having this video on the loop, closing my eyes and enjoying. Peace
Had the pleasure of eating a pie made by this gentleman a few years ago. We stood outside in 20 degree weather and waited. It was worth it. What an honor.
It's sad to see Dom working less and less, but totally understandable. The man put some serious time into his craft, and the results speak for themselves. Incredible human.
Great italian...passion and love....some complain about the price of his pizza....shame on them...good artisans deserve the money....they put soul into what they create...bravo domenico
I went last week for the first time. There was an Asian man making all the pizza. Domenic DeMarco was nowhere to be seen. Honestly, maybe it's because the Asian man makes the pizza and not Domenic but there was nothing special about the pizza. There was no flavor, just a bland tasteless pizza. But maybe that's because it wasn't made by Domenic DeMarco. Maybe his Asian worker can't make the same legendary tasting pizza.
What a legend! He won't let anyone else touch the ingredients, and only makes so many so when they're gone, they're gone. Still the best pizza I've ever had
My Oma and Opa ran a deli in Queens for 30 years. When I looked at this man's shoes all covered with flour, I immediately thought back to those days. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with pizza but THANKS for the memory!
I grew up on Ave K and Bedford avenue and as a kid id hang out on Ave J with my friends. Seeing this brought back so many memories. God bless this man and his family for the great food.
I just got a wood fire pizza oven and I’m literally pausing every part of the video that shows a brand name, trying to pick up every little thing I can because I sense this guy is the GOAT
This is the real authentic italian pizza shop. No games no gimics. Just str8 forward. Wish i have a chance togo to new york. My first stop is here n then to best pizza to meet frank n kats deli!!
Went again last week and got to talk to the master himself while he made my square pie. Would pay 50$ and still feel like it was a deal. When people say they don't make em like they used to they are talking about people like Dom. Italians have that longevity.
College Point in the Big Q here...Went to Avenue J over Thanksgiving weekend. Had a square and a slice; outta this world. The clipped fresh basil at the end makes it.
I have so much respect for this guy,,,,,this is what America is all about,,,,Only in America,,,,"You can't buy what I love and make with my two hands,,,there IS NO PRICE,,,,what I have created in my life and time is PRICELESS,," yeah ,,"the people even eat the crust,,,,Yeah Domenico ,,,,I think your doin something right there,,,God Bless you and keep it up,,,,,DD in L.A.
i don't know, but this video melts my heart to this amazing man that stands for what he believes to say his dedication and devotion as a pizzamaker. god bless him!
That's an Italian thing, here in NY. If you barely speak English, but speak Italian, "you know?" is your go-to end of sentence.... we just want to make sure you understand what we're sayin...
This is how everyone must live their life feeling so great when they become old. But I dont think most of us 2ould have that amazing feeling when we become old.
I retire by this years end and we want to visit my roots on the east coast and this will be one of my first stops when I get there. 1970 was the last time I was there with my father and Uncle. I believe the owner Dom opened up in the early 60's...not certain if he is still here.
