the way to get the rare coils doesn't work anymore. They've extended the balcony/structure so it's impossible to get out of the arena anymore. I'm only able to get to the first overhang and that's it.
Glitch is still working as of August 2024, can confirm. Because of this, I was able to max out 2 legendaries even before finishing the 3rd subfunction quest. Thanks so much for this very detailed guide. I would just like to share a few stuff I learned while doing the 1st one: you gotta be quick in jumping over the platform towards the exit, or else the ravager's cannons will destroy it. Also, once you've deposited your items at the shelter and are going back to the arena, you can save some time by just going straight back towards the arena. No need to follow the same winding path through the bridges; just cross the river directly (you can see an aircraft nearby) and the arena will be right there.
Imagine being the poor tenakth who came to see the greatest warrior in all the clan lands compete in the arena, only for her immediately turn around and leave 🤣

Also i already got 64 elite coils, 128 close range damage and resources worth of above 200K shards already 🤣🤣🤣, so i have pretty much OP build. Tears of the land god 5 close range coils, iriv's downfall 3 elite and 2 close range (Critical boost valor surge will bring down apex slaughterspine under one minute), brawl breaker with 5 close range (Sustained burst ftw), Sun scourge (my favorite) fully dedicated for frost (pure OP, brittle enemies have massive damage output), death seeker for shock arrow and Defiance spear with 5 close range coils. I am ripping through the enemies with this build in NG+ very hard. My basic strategy is frost the enemies, bring them down with sharpsot bows and spear. If they are having elemental resistance, drench them with purgewater and then frost them (works very well with enemies like Thunderjaw, ravager etc).
I normally dont like having to do things like this but the grind for upgrades becomes so laborious...after the 20th fireclaw and 10th apex heart im like bruh...enough now. And I say this with a history of mmo farming. Farming for currency i still encourage to do as intended but to each their own.
Yeah the upgrade grind is REAL. I personally like grinding machine hunting, but I think they went a little overboard lol. I’d rather hunt machines a bunch to get good coils like in HZD.
I wouldn't even mind the farming *that* much, but it's super tedious in this game. Like I didn't turn difficulty down to *normal* and leave it there because the game was too difficult, but because it just takes way too long to kill the larger machines. It's not significantly harder, just more expensive, and takes more in-fight crafting, which I loathe. The final nail in the coffin is the stupidly low drop chances on primary nerves and such. So you have to kill dozens of each large machine, which really lowers their dramatic value, and just devalues the experience overall. So I hope this method still works. Gonna try it later.
Lol THAT'S what you're complaining about? Not even the fact that you only get a couple of each Coil per entire playthru? Just set the difficulty to Story & use fast travel & you can farm fast as hell. It's not THAT bad...
@@GuerillaBunnyWorth noting that strangely enough, I always get more Circulators and Primary Nerves from the big NON APEX machines than I do Apex ones, not to mention much better Coil/Weave drops too. It's VERY strange! But I've played for probably a good thousand hours total in this game & so I think I can say for certainty that this is the case.
Btw, ive noticed for the part where you squat & have to "phase" thru the wood on the door, you can literally just not hold anything & let yourself fall thru it! It seems to be a lot more easy & consistent than trying to press forward & wiggle around til you fall thru. I find if you wiggle the stick a little, stop, see if u fall thru, wiggle some more if you don't, & keep trying til you do. Juat sayin'. For those who are struggling to get the "phasing" to work when holding forward & wiggling around, it works really well for me & is how I've done each dupe run thus far. Haven't had much luck w the hold forward while ducking & wiggle method.
Thank you for tCoil. I normally would NEVER do this.... But seeing how AMAZING the new DLC coils are & the fact there is only 1 of each per Playthru.... I am going to. I kind of hate myself for it, but I'm not about to play this game all the way thru over & over just for a single extra copy of each Elite coil. Playing thru it one more time for the NG+ weaponry is enough for me.
You can also just get on a watering or sun wing and fly the route instead of running the route. Works faster and easier. Just call the flying mount to you immediately after leaving the arena.
The grind for upgrade components and coils in HFW is overboard. For Horizon 3 they seriously need to dial back the number of weapons, the number of upgrade components needed, and provide acquiring coils and weaves on the ground during gameplay instead of 'that one merchant in burning shores'. Goodgods, what were these people thinking: more is more!!?
I'd say dial back the weapons and outfits but replace that time spent with changes to models changing as you improve whatever piece it is. It seems that because of the quantity of weapons they have a stock model for each rarity until you get to legendary. I enjoy the visual flair of a weapon or armor changing as you upgrade it other than number go up or ammo unlocked. Farming machine parts is part of the loop that Horizon is known for so I got nothing there.
Completely agree. I've spent the same amount of time playing HFB so far as I did on HZD; however, I beat HZD twice and bought/upgraded every weapon and outfit I wanted to, meanwhile in HFB I am just now starting the DLC on my first playthrough and still need to purchase/upgrade far more items than I care to. By the time you've purchased/upgraded the best weapons and armors in the game most of us are already sick of it. I loved HZD so much that I would play it a 3rd time easily, HFB I haven't even fully completed once and I'm already getting bored with it.
First of all, sorry for my English..... you can do the same with the Arena medals. Start the arena, get out, cross the bridge so the timer stops, go back and buy things with your medals. Than start arena and exit it. You will have the items you bought and you don't lose any medals you've spend on buys😊😃😃😃
TIP: after the re-entry it doesn’t reset for me so I press RETRY for it to actually resets and duplicates. So for those who have some issues adding this in the end gives u 100% safe duplication.
this is great, i've already completed the game legitimately on 350 hours gameplay, jumping back in again its good to not have to worry about the grind and just focus on enjoying it!

One tidbit- when I return to the arena from the campsite, the marker takes me to gather the fanghorn ciruculator I targeted from the vendor which is a HUGE detour.. Now I leave one in my inventory so the system doesn't recognize a missing item needed. PS- LOVE LOVE LOVE your vids..
I have to say that this glitch is a lifesaver. I usually don't mind working for the best gear, but this game makes it a tedious grind. So I take out the first 4-12 machines of a type, depending on size, and without easy looting, to prove to myself that I can do it reliably, and if I don't have enough to upgrade everything I want then, I use the duplication glitch. How bad is the grind? Well, it gets unbearable even if you play on story mode. So it's good to see it works legitimately on PC and you don't have to use an infinite jumps cheat like I did until now. Also, I'm on NG+ now, and it seems to me that's actually the best way to experience the story and the quests, because you won't have to spend excessive extra time hunting machines for upgrades, especially if you collected everything you need to upgrade the NG+-specific gear in your previous playthrough. It's also good if you're annoyed by Aloy being downgraded so dramatically from the end of Zero Dawn. It know it's necessary for a fresh start, gameplay-wise, but I prefer intact continuity if I can get it.
Normally I don’t like cheating the way into getting more gear /improved gear but the fact that some of these coils only appear once or twice per playthrough is why I want to, I’m not spending hours and hours on a whole new game just for a few extra coils and weaves.
I've been doing this glitch for the past few days on PC. You don't have to go out to the right of the arena towards the campfire, you can go left and then call your flying mount then fly around the bridge to the shelter.
Good stuff, although I am absolutely stuck on the gear locked challenge Rematch. I watched the other video you have on it and I'm still stabbing away at it. 🤦♂ More practice I guess! Lol thanks
I seriously don't get Guerilla's stance on this... I feel like they actually dont even want to fix it, but instead only tell players "yea, good one, try again" or smt.. Cuz from a Developer-Standpoint, they could EASILY fix it with one single change: disabling the stash-interaction while an arena-challenge is running, instead of constantly adding more and more invisible walls over and over again. But as always awesome video ^-^
The only sucky thing about doing this is you have to recoil ALL your weapons & armor all over again. IF you're anything like me, you probably spent HOURS coiling your stuff JUST right!

I tried previous Arena glitch methods and could never get them to work. Did this one on 1st attempt. This was SO much easier! Now I’ve got enough Elite coils for my ultimate weapon builds, THANK YOU!
LPT: That 2.147 billion shard limit thing works in real life too. Just rack up 2.147 billion dollars in credit card debt and the bank will owe YOU money!! No really, trust me! I, a stranger on the internet, have no reason to lie to you about this....
I recommend creating a job for something you can buy with just shards. Just so the waypoint doesn't move anywhere else, I had that happen to me and almost got lost
This is glorious. Works on the PC as of today. You just saved me HUNDREDS of HOURS of grinding. This game is ridiculous the amount of repetitive grinding you need to do. I'm not done with the game yet, but my brain evolved when I saw this video. It works with doubling the green cluster resources too! LMAO, this is amazing.
Any limit to how much of something can be stored in the Stash? Will this also slow down the Menus? I assume you just want to deal with the Menu lag til you're done duping right?
I used your method which duplicated all my coils. I later re tried once I receive the 25% close range damage coil from Errend. I then duplicated and now can not add these to any weapon. I have tried all rope casters, warrior bows etc and they all say incompatible.
Ah ok so that’s not because of the duplication. Not all coils are compatible with all weapons. Close range coils are not compatible with ropecasters or warrior bows, unfortunately.

For Dreaded Encounter, Smoke Bombs seem to be doing nothing... The Dreadwing STILL spits Acid at me & knocks me off the platform every time, even if I use a Smokebomb immediately. It makes no sense...
My bad about the frustrated comment was just annoyed momentarily that I’d gotten the first half of the glitch to work but the tutorial for the second half eluded me
I finished the main campaign and burning shores with 70% of the side quests done, on hard mode my first ever playthrough, reached level 60. All the challenge disappeared and I quickly got bored, I restarted from scratch on Very Hard and enjoying the extra bit of challenge, but only died twice in the first 20 hours. This game more than any could really do with enemy scaling to your level. Maybe I should of gone with Ultra Hard, how much of a step up is it from Very Hard? Would I just be miserable if I attempted it 😅
You forgot this , when u are leaving the arena take the left path not the right because u will lose the challenge and u will be taken back to the arena
Do you mean you can phase through and get in the doors but then you can't walk out the gap? If so, I'm guessing you haven't finished Singularity yet. If that's the case, finish Singularity and give it another try.
Can you also dupe ammo? I'm doing the glitch now & can't see why not... Any reason you can't also store your ammo when going to the Shelter in the Glitched state? Do they not get duped? How bout Strike pieces? Not sure why those couldn't be duped as well?
Theres a problem with my game which changes the active quest to whatever the arena challenge is, meaning i cant use the set job thingy on the merchant to follow back to the arena and if i try to set the job after i escape, it fails the arena quest and bounces me back in.

Does the old infinite jump method still work today on PS5? I managed it plenty on PS4 last year, but before I waste my time, I wanted to check with you, since you've already demonstrated your knowledge and swift response time.
No infinite jumping does not work after patch 1.18/1.19. So, it does not work on the current PS5 patch. But you can use the much easier methods shown in this video. Only PS4 players need infinite jump.

I have the Dreaded Encouter special coils and Regalla's Wrath before dealing with Regalla thanks to this video. It was intensely challenging getting the superglider to respawn me outside the invisible walls, but I got it to work after about 12 minutes 😅 I'll come back and do the duplication glitch again once I have access to the Isle of Spires and the unique coils on offer there.
DOes this still work if i get the burning shores DLC? I have the PSVR2 and whatever addon thats called. This glitch still works for me perfectly. I had leveled up a LOT without getting any good gear cause the grind for resources seemed to outweigh the fun i was having. So i just started it 2 years later again and i had only unlocked like 30% of the map. This game is SO much more fun with all the crazy coils/weaves you can put on and u can actually upgrade multiple purples(and legendarys) without grinding some insane amount. I'm an older, casual gamer so this dupe glitch made the game perfect for me again. It's still challenging too. Very much so. So many mechanics to it it's hard to remember everything in every encounter but i love your vids, they have helped me recall what iforgot and learn a bunch of new stuff. ANyways,lol, if i get the DLC will it patch this or am i safe? I'm on PS5 btw
Is there any way to scroll the numbers faster when selecting how many of something to Sell or Stash? After doing this Dupe Glitch 7 or 8 times, I am shuddering at the thought of tryjng to clear out my Inventory to make it less laggy... Having the numbers tick one at a time was quite the oversight by the devs... And myself 😅. Not that they actually planned on ppl doing this Glitch, but still. Those playing for Hundreds of hours still end up with thousands of Hardplates & Braided Wire.
I've tested it on PC. You can definitely duplicate coils and weaves. Not sure why exactly you had an issue, but if you want to dupe them give it another try. It certainly works. Glad you found this helpful regardless!
Thank you for the detailed explanation! I couldn't make your old route work on keyboard and mouse (going between the two invisible walls specifically, spent a whole hour on it and it never worked) and I was aware of this route but couldn't make it work either. Your advice *not* to jump but let Aloy climb on the door before crouching was the missing piece of the puzzle and I finally successfully completed the glitch. Honestly with the amount of pre-farm (to get at least one of every resource and coil/weave) + the time it takes to do 5/6 rotation of the Arena Glitch, it already takes as much time as farming in this game should take overall so I don't feel guilty at all for using it. Horizon is a game where I'll stop and try to kill a machine or a group for no reason beyond enjoying the combat, but I do *not* enjoy being forced to slaughter thousands of them for a mindless grind, regardless of the difficulty. And being forced to do 10 to 15 NG cycle to be able to coil every weapon was mindless nonsense too. I'd rather have my perfect setup for UH and do that in NG+ directly. So thanks a lot, you were a great help! I'll also watch your machine hunting videos now that I've finished the game on my own, as I prepare to go from VH to UH.
Glad you found this helpful! Yeah I agree having to do multiple NG+ runs to get more copies of the good coils is annoying. And there’s no doubt the grind for upgrade resources is real. I personally kind of like it, but I’m a weirdo that way lol. I do think it would be far more interesting to grind for those resources if machines had a chance to drop more copies of the good coils. That way, while you’re grinding for resources, you’d also be getting more coils.
@@ArktixOfficial We're definitely all different when it comes to grind! There are grinds I've enjoyed but the RNG element is very annoying to me, Horizon's grind is either too mindless or not mindless enough that I can completely pay attention to something else. For example in Elden Ring, I've grinded max level. Literally 60 hours of repeating the exact same 15 second loop, killing the same 13 enemies 15 000 times. That worked for me because it was so mindless I could actually do something more productive at the same time. Horizon is just involved enough even in Story Mode, that I can't do that. Plus the frustration of not getting a Rockbreaker circulator 6 times in a row was maddening.
I have done it and still I'm not sure if I should say I am cheating myself and should hang my head in shame, but I feel a bit relieved that I don't have to farm all my stuff. Then again, NG+ might be in the same level, it just takes more time.
What exactly is the problem? Which Difficulty are you one and what kind of Gear do you have ? Quick things: There aren´t many Stormbird Spots, on in mountains paried with a Dreadwing, the other on the Isle of Spires. Their Cannon is like similiar to a Sac, meaning it has low Health but High Tear, on normal that is only 215 Health but 860 Tear needed. Most save way are Tearblast Arrows but you might already shift things in your favour if you go for the cannon without Frost or Low Health Ranged/ Stealth Ranged+. Cannon falls slower to the ground then the bird, which will be stunned. Try to keep it in sight when it falls and collect it immediatly, so you do not have to search for it afterwards.
Aha! The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Exit hack. :-) I refused doing it until after my 4th play through was ‘complete’ (consecutive NG+, this one on UH), I got bored with doing my hunting safaris over and over, so I decided to add the hack to my repertoire. I was GL222 at the time, so I felt it wasn’t like cheating. It did allow me to ‘really’ max out my build in terms of coils and weaves. E.g.: everything is Elite coiled now and really strong. One question perhaps: why the complication with purple coils? They aren’t better than their Elite counterparts, right? Or am I missing something obvious?
Glad you found this useful! I basically did the same the first time I used it. I had done multiple NG+ runs and did a ton of hunting to upgrade gear. As for those 2 purple coils, you’re correct that they’re not better than the legendary variants. It’s just they they’re unique and unobtainable elsewhere, so some people might want them as “collector’s items”.
@ArktixOfficial No no, your coils that you had from the challenge, not the merchant. The arena challenge also appears to give you several other rare coils. I tried it & it worked! Seemed like a nice way to get a head start on the duping. It had another instant Brittle coil, a Stealth 25%, Overdraw 15%, etc. There's only a couple of those per playthru. I sold the good ones & bought them all back. Seemed silly not to.
Why not using the, first mentioned, duplicate glitch to duplicate the 25% critical hit damage coil and the 1% instant shock chance coil ? Btw ,i upgraded my weapons normally, but i wanted to have more of the good coils. Ah and Bonjour de France les amis ✌😉👍🇫🇷
That invisible wall in the memorial Grove is there for me all the time. Through every playthrough. I can get to either side of the wall, but I can't cross through it. Weird.
Is it correct that duplicating resources doesn't work? You can't take more of it in your inventory (pouch full) So its only 15 Volitile sludge each time?
You can duplicate resources, but yes, with some like volatile sludge you can only carry a small amount in your inventory, so you can't duplicate them as quickly.
One small note is that you don't have to abandon the challenge... it also works if you complete it when you go back. Though obviously the former is faster.
omg - went to watch a dupe video and accidentally found out how to use the damn glider correctly. How many times have I failed some of the parcours because the glider opens too late usually and I miss some ledge.

I usually don't like doing this kind of stuff.... but I think this is gonna be my move! Game came out a month ago and I already have 100 hours, still farming for shards and luminous brainstem to upgrade the NG+ weapons when I start my playthrough Since I like doing EVERY QUEST in every playthrough... I don't see myself spending like 25 hours focusing on getting the Bruning Shores coils over and over again! I mean, In HZD, it took me like 7 hours to complete Frozen Wilds and the main quest for the pristine coils, but now for HFW? Yeahhhhh that's a little too long 😅
This looks 100x Easier than the old method! I was using the old method last night and kept falling off the jump spot and having to restart. I think I maybe got it down 5% of the time 😆

Did the patch out dreaded encounter escape on PC. Cannot get past the invisible wall no matter what. Tried with and without frame rate setup stuff. Tried M&K and controller. Nothing works.
