Players don't have press conferences or go on their podcast to talk about their support or lack of support of a newly fired coach. That comes out years later. The problem is both players performed well throughout the season as well as playoffs and many wins came from they greatness not X’s and O’s, roster definitely flawed but they still underachieved and only lost to different both years because of X’s and O’s. You can cover a older player flaws that don’t have the energy for the entire game to do everything and AD covering so many mistakes on the defensive side , flawed roster and flawed coaching because why those two have to play damn near perfect to compete .
