The plaintiff has been friends with the defendant since elementary school. However, the plaintiff says he gave the defendant a loan to repair a vehicle, but he didn't pay it back. Instead, the defendant allegedly spent the money on the plaintiff's ex because he had a thing for her, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant had every intention of paying back the loan but says there was no established deadline.

All the judges have different personalities, different TV formats. I've seen Judge Judy embarrass people plenty of times. Tear another hole in them. Another alternative is to take your case to any TV judge or a judge at a brick-and-mortar courthouse. Many choices.

I’ll be honest. I don’t agree they had any agreement on paying him back. He thought the friend was talking to his ex, he got pissed and prematurely sued him. Emotional lawsuit. Yes the friend owes him but you need to give him a reasonable amount of time especially if you don’t have an agreement.

If you agreed to 30 days then that's when I'm expecting it back. Even if he had no job but agreed to 30 days, then I'm expecting it back in 30 days. He may have been expecting a windfall or something. What happened to your word being your bond? Back in the day a hand shake is all that was needed. Like my mom taught us, never give/loan what you cannot live without.
