FilaToon is an exciting enhancement to Daz Studio to make wonderful use of the Filament Draw Option to create lovely Toon looks.
Genesis 9 Toon is a special Daz 3D figure which takes full advantage of the FilaToon system and comes with a multitude of presets along with two base Anime figures to get us started.
These two base presets, one Male, one Female, come fully optimized with all of the neccessary anatomical elements which make the whole system look so Anime/Manga on a 3D articulate figure.
Hey there, this is Dartanbeck.
I'd like to walk you through some of the basics regarding this exciting set of figures. Along the way we'll look at more of my process toward converting other content to the FilaToon system, and walk through the process of designing our own characters using this amazing system.
At the end is a small demonstration of many of the animations I've done so far with this all of this.

When do we see the series in the store? B/c this new shader is a game changer for DAZ. Maybe not industry standard anymore but for use casual plebs definitly a step up.

Does it ever! The working view and the render are the same except for the gizmos and placement avatars and such. It's very cool to get used to! :)

Daz3D doesn't do a heck of a lot right in my eyes lately, but this new shader is definitely awesome.

You know, we all see things differently, don't we? I absolutely Love this new shader/figure setup. The new components that they made for the figures to really take on that Anime look is Out of the Park!!! Amazing!!! But I Love what Daz 3D's been doing over the years. They just keep me on a thrill ride through and through! :)

Does this work on G8's?

Yes. Around 1:19 you can see Rosie 8.24 being converted - and we can apply this system into most Anything we can bring into our scenes. One thing that I know doesn't currently work is the dForce Strand-Based Hair - which just doesn't show at all - so use mesh hair.

@@Dartanbeck I figured as much but I've "figured" some products would have/do in the past and been let down lol. Now I double check :P Strands are small so that makes sense.
