There might be more updates on this or eventual rug/scam - hoping other airdrop people who have talked about this, will mention the warning forward! Article version for further documentation - sagerunner.net/get-grass-extension-is-spying-on-you-hack-warning/
@@LiteLiger Guys, look at the code yourself, there's nothing there, I inspected it, went to the folder and the information is as it should be. Anyone can open DevTools and look for themselves, there is nothing there as much greed for increasing Airdrop allocation
"Lack of transparency regarding who is working on the team and the CEO hasn’t really made public appearances, only the CTO who has active lawsuit against him as of right now" Skill issue, you can watch the CEO interviews, pretty much public & available to watch lol.
Hi, thanks for the info. About a month ago, they added the option to install what they call, a "grass community node", so, not the regular browser extension from Chrome but, an extension installed via an .exe file and a .crx file. Do you, by any chance, know about that? Or, more importantly, how to uninstall it properly?
My wallet was stolen last week without any authorization, without clicking on phishing websites, and without being infected with viruses, but I still got stolen inexplicably, as if a scammer knew my password
Good to know! Thanks for pointing it out! If the Grass extension is installed on a separate Chrome profile (a profile dedicated to Grass only and run separately), do you think it would be safe?
Thats a cool idea, esp as lora miners arent as.. productive as they once were. Have you seen guides for this idea? Or if youve done this yourself, were you able to remove local network permissions on your miner? Assuming I am correctly understanding what ive read about cursedchrome having some access to the local network?
Great video, but what should people do which have installed that browser ? Do we need to remove it, run a Virus Scan and change ALL of our passwords even ones not used / saved by auto fill or is there an easier way to fix this ?
If I ran the grass extension in a cleaned browser Opera but I used Chrome to do all my navigation stuff, do you consider I am safe? I have never used the Opera browser (in which I installed that Grass extension) to do other thing than running grass. Moreover, I never installed the app Grass on my computer.
What are steps to do now if I was running this extension? 1) Remove extension 2) Virus Scan 3) Chrome Galvanizer Block Extension 4) Change all saved passwords 5) Anything else?
But you are saying at one point that the code is no longer in the extension and then you kind of just circle around that like its not of the utmost importance.
Have changed the passwords and did a virus scan and deleted all cookies. Is my metamask and Solana wallet in danger. Did exported my metamask keys one time. Can my wallet still be hacked or am I safe now?
AFAIK, your wallets should be okay - coz the seed is not stored on the browser. Idk if cursed chrome is there to just view what the victim is viewing or does it actually give access to whole browser itself like a teamviewer, i have to dig into this more.
Check Seb Montgomery's latest update. Looks like he spoke to someone on the team and cleared things out. Seb should come out with a video about it tomorrow he said 🤙
Aw fk... Could you make a video on how to be safe after using that extension? TIA! nvm, you already did it, i'm sorry, i was VERY nervous at beggining of the video
Why would anyone run Grass as an extension or otherwise given there’s been no clear statement on the date and type of rewarding for those who used the extension to make the Grass project run?
@@juliana70163 I need help, I am doing it now and I have removed GetGrass extension from my Chrome, what next do I have to do? I've been trying to delete my Grass account but it keeps saying, Invalid Token
Instantly booted from their discord without even any explanation when I asked what is going on This is almost certainly a scam, no reasonable mods or devs would boot like that. Smells like a scam big time.
Of course they will kick you... if you are questioning the code it is because you know how to use DevTools, and if you know how to use Devtools you can see for yourself that there is nothing there. For them you were a bad character with bad intentions
@@LosHobosLocos Yes, they monitored everyone's speech. I was just reminding everyone to pay attention to wallet security, change to a new wallet, and transfer assets, and then I was kicked out of the channel
