Thanks for watching! Videos I used: BOF PUC by DDX • 【SDVX】 Booths of Fight... ShockWAVE PUC by GGD • [SDVX] * Erm, could it... 666 PUC by MINI • 【SDVX】 666 (MXM) PUC
@@pyeeper I mean at least you can get there, I live in WA and there is NO trace of sdvx anywhere. But there is an arcade in north bridge that has DDR A20+, PIU prime 2, gitadora and MaiMaiDX, I really wish that these types of games were more popular in AU
Also seeing in your handcams I recommend not turning the knobs with your palms. I will damage the knob after long use so yeah just letting you know. Have fun!
Thanks for the heads up. I was aware of the problem with palm-turning, however at the time of the recording I was still getting used to the controller, so it was like a bad habit I’ve quickly developed that I eventually got rid of.
I don't even have a Micro Center in my area, I would have to drive 2+ hours to go to micro center. But I would like to play with a sdvx controller instead of a keyboard because I can't barley press x and m with as-kl.
if you still play with a keyboard then (if you have a big keyboard) remap kl to l; and remap the fx buttons to the alts, it's gonna be much easier like that.
this video is what got me into sdvx about a year ago (albeit on a minicontroller rather than an arcade-accurate one) thank you for exposing me to this ... frankly insane game! arcaea -> sdvx pipeline is real do you still play arcaea?
its also the same shipping price for here in the us, im thinking about biting the bullet and buying it. but then again, shipping is expensive as hell, and its pretty expensive. update: I finally also got a sound voltex controller of my own!
Absolutely go for it! I myself, being a broke student AND living in Russia (average salary here is about $500), had a lot of struggle in the decision, but in the end it very much payed off with just how much fun this god damn game is. I should say though that if you're still planning the purchase, you should under no doubts go for gamo2's FAUCETWO, since it's so much better than YuanCon you shouldn't even consider looking towards the latter.
@@undefinedch yeah I just unboxed my faucetwo and it was like a magical experience seeing the quality of the the packaging and the controller itself. Not a single issue at all. I'm in love with it.
We didn't until recently. A Round1 opened up in Moscow, but even that one barely has much to offer in terms of rhythm games, with the best thing being rootage offline kit
stuck with a keyboard rn, playing on spread with double input macro (as in both asdf and jkl; work for all 4 buttons) with qwop for lasers and alts for the fx buttons, I feel like I'm starting to hit a wall with certain 17s, but tbh I think I'll be failing easy 14s when I finally get a controller, even a mini one.
Keyboard play can't be compared to controller Not only using keyboard for laser movement is so easy that it's considered cheating A lot of harder charts in sdvx are most likely unplayable with keyboards like double jack, single jack etc
@@BonzaELTesto trust me I know the difference, I played a lot on both, honestly in some cases I'd argue lasers are harder on keyboard, but I understand where you're coming from.
I really don't understand why peoples first instinct is to slide on the knobs from the side with the palm. Not only will that damage your knobs over time much more quickly but the knobs also resemble volume knobs like on a hi-fi stereo set. Have you ever turned a volume knob on any audio device by doing the side palm motion? I mean, no offense or anything but I just don't get why people keep doing it lol, it's obvious enough you should operate them as volume knobs, which they are also called/referred to 😅
Oh yeah, I don't quite get it myself. In my case, the problem was that my chair doesn't really raise itself very high, and I simply couldn't comfortably play while sitting without resting my hands on the thing, that's why I palmed the knobs. Luckily, shortly I came up with a solution (which was basically stacking a blanket on my chair), and I never knobbed the same way I do in the video ever again.
@@undefinedch I'm playing standing, because I use my standing office as my main SDVX setup and guess that makes the difference 😅 I have 2 videos uploaded on my channel in case you wanna see. I just can't imagine playing SDVX while seated, I require to stand while playing which is the only way to play for me.
@@MAIcrosoft Well, standing isn't really an option for me, since I'd have to tilt my head downwards to look at the monitor, and my neck hurts after that
