Personally I thought the headphone jack was broken at first on the few cabinets available near me, but it just took a but of messing around to realize thatbI actually needed to turn the volume up using the keypad on the side
to clarify on some matters for sdvx: there is 1-4 star gauge (barrier rank) she was playing 1 star which is the easiest and doesnt drop as much hp as normal clear rates (effective rate) 2 stars is roughly around the gauge of effective rate 3 stars is like excessive rate (iirc) 4 stars is slightly different where if you get a near, you will lose hp as well as losing hp on errors permissive rate, the rate in skill analyzer, is complicated,, as each songs passes, you'll need more crits to recover hp ((also i heard from an inf dan, inf dan course has more hp taken down per error compared to other levels, but i'm not too sure!!)) ok hope that helped a lil,, do correct me if i'm wrong!!
You should give Groove Coaster and WACCA a go at the arcade, bring a decent earphone for both and gloves for WACCA to make sliding easier with less chance of finger tips burning from friction
It’s available in Singapore at selected outlet, I’m a Singaporean myself and I play it occasionally! Whether or not the version present locally has all the songs presently available in the JP version.
in NYC laundry mat's have arcades *it's weird* to one near me had a MvC (marvel Versus) cab like this was 2006 or something my 1st time touching a arcade stick was cool having $ for a arcade at home must be nice also let alone the space for arcade cabs
Getting INF dan isn't really that hard once you know how the game works. I've been playing for 1 year and around the 8 month mark of my experience I got 10th Dan gold wings. So it isn't really that hard to learn. Just my experience :>
@@uyk765 you got advice for passing 17s? the gap between 16 and 17s feels insane in terms of difficulty, the only 17 i passed was universe stage, the rest are like super difficult
@@Ultimatesam25 increase stamina, learn more patterns, and explore more charts. Some 16's will feel like a 17, charts like GERBERA Exhaust 16, Dogeza Stairs Exhaust 16, and Destiny Exhaust 16 are good examples of hard 16's. And don't rush clearing 17's when you feel you can't clear them yet. Basically just have fun at your own skill level and you will clear harder charts someday
@@uyk765 that's good advice, I should really study charts but I usually just sightread them, however I have managed to pass a few 17's such as last resort and ebovy & ivory
illness is a bit a a grey area all of the patterns are relatively simple and easy buts it really just how fast can you be but mayhem is the easiest 20 by far the song is practically all lasers and 998 bpm = free health
When you said Arcaea was the mobile SDVX, I didn't think even the health systems would be that similar. If we had dans in it, it would just be depressing because look at the new pack, it's impossible
I haven't been to the arcade as frequently post-cb but this video really made me remember why i loved playing SDVX so much in the first place!! >also relate to the small hands cant press 2FX w one hand
Will you ever make a full sdvx video guide? Also, my only experience with sound voltex is with USC, so I feel like I’m missing out what the arcade experience has to offer. Looks really fun though
It's in the plans, but when I do that, I'll be recording the actual in-game screen instead of pointing my camera at the cabinet like in this video. I'll do that in a month or so, gotta get my laptop back from tzechi so I can hook it to the capture card in one of the cabinets!
Those are fishing games, you put in tokens and catch fishes. The more fishes you catch the more tokens you get. Its probably the only arcade machine i know that you get tokens instead of tickets.
That fishing game is how i get my infinite coins in the arcade because my mom was so addicted to it and she’s so good that i get to play everything in the arcade...yes we still use arcade coins...now “we dont do that here” anymore hahaha
Found one of these at a bubble tea shop a few minutes down the road. I was super excited because I had played kshoot before and really enjoyed it. Hoping to get good at it.
WOW! THIS IS REALLY ENTERTAINING FOR ME TO WATCH HOW TO LEARN THE TIPS TO BE PRO FOR PLAYING IN THE FUTURE WHEN I COULD ABLE TO WATCH AND FOCUS SLOWLY :) !! But by the way, i start to play SDVX this year. but not even active anyway, because i mostly usually train pump it up and ddr with legs footworks! but my skill analyser is around 4 nearly 5... i am from singapore play many hand speed games usually not closed to 6 months or a year ... not active like ya! are you singaporean anyway and how many years you had play SDVX?
the sad thing is I live in california and arcades are like not cool anymore here or something because all of the Malls have removed them and the mom and pop arcades left years ago. I miss the arcade experience so much. Arcade Rhythm gaming is my childhood lol
I was at an arcade on my vacation and saw a SDVX arcade machine, and thought to myself "finally i can play this game without having to spend 200 dollars on a controller" but realized i had no idea how to play and the language was in japanese. i was mostly clicking random buttons until something happened. i am now back home without access to any good arcades near me. great vid though! i realize now that i missed out on a lot lmao
I don't think there's a way for me to play sdvx here in Italy :( I guess rythm games aren't really a thing in Italian arcades. Also lots of arcades are closing down, the only one I can go to are at temporary parks. Well, I guess I'll stick to mobile (arcaea and phigros mostly) and osu
I feel bad for people in europe :/ the only way you guys can play these games is buying a controller or finding an underground rhythm game arcade but even then that's really rare
I'm surprised that you're going through that FX + Laser part in iLLness LiLin. The recommended technique for that is switching your hand that holds the FX button rather than crosshanding.
Playing USC doesnt give me the satisfaction of unlocking or grinding for a goal in particular. Definitely more incentive to play more if I could understand it. I would really like to know how to play vivid wave. I played heavenly haven overseas but idk wtf I was doing.
I hope you doing good this year, I have a question though. Have you played maimai before? Don't know why I am addicted to rhythm game since I start playing osu!mania. Recently I play maimai arcade near my college and I feel like I want to play more! Just I don't have the card 😅 yet.. I'm planning to get a card so I don't have to lose my progress.
This is the one video that got me into SDVX, after about a month of playing I can comfortably pass pretty much any 13, preparing for the 14s Edit: i started clearing 14s more easily and managed to clear a 15 (Mixxion ADV) woo
How long did it take you to reach this level? I started playing at the end of December because Australia finally got a cab and I'm trying to reach inf dan by the end of this year, I took a small break but rn I'm 8th dan
I started the game in December 2018 but I'm very on and off with the game, to be exact, it took me 1.5 years to hit inf dan at home! (I stopped playing after that and I need to unrust again to do it in the arcade now) Sound voltex is one of those games where it doesn't take a lifetime to hit the max dan level unlike games like IIDX and taiko no tatsujin. But being an INF dan still has a big spectrum of skill (volforce is a more accurate representation but it's also not perfect). I'd probably be the worst infinite dan in singapore if I hit it now :D
