Apart from road numbers, the key to success in Sweden is bus stops - each of the 21 regions has their unique design and colour scheme.

Its fun to see someone play sweden that dont know where anything is. And also, since you dont know about sweden alot of clues are missed. Mölndal stad tells you nothing but if you know sweden it tells you where you are. Every swede knows where Leksand is but if you arnt from sweden, how could you know. Its like me playing Brasil where I dont even know where the larger cities are located or what their names are.
@robertalexanderson829

Yeah the fact that the sign says "stad" and not kommun is also a tell it is a bigger city. It litteraly means city. Also Mölndal is where I grew up so kind of funny to see Lindome in a sign and instantly realise aproximatley where it was. I dont think you know where Lindome is unless you are from the Gothenburg area, whereas alot of people would know Mölndal.

I loved it when you saw the road sign for the direction to Sollefteå and thought you where in the Town. Those road signs without a distance numbers are just used for directions when the road situation is complicated. A trick for seeing how far north you are in Sweden is how the forests look. Scane and the west coast is dominated by leaf trees. Middle sweden from Gävle/Stockholm and south is mixed forrest and further north is dominated by Coniferous trees with ever fewer leaf trees the further up you get.

Only because E roads ending in 0 or 5 are meant to be the most major ones, former E3 was renumbered as E20 in Sweden while former E66 was renumbered E20 in Denmark but became E22 in Sweden, and so a connection had to be formed between Malmö and Gothenburg.

The color of busses gives away soo much. And so does the look of buss stops. They are very regional. Also street names are usually double info they contain the name + a key information about the environment. If a name ends in ”sjö” there is lake near by. The name may also contain the size of the place ”by” means small village ”köping” usually means small town.
