5:07 Köping in swedish has the same root meaning as Køben does in danish, which is market or merchant. So Norrköping could be translated to "North market" like København / Copenhagen could be translated to "merchants harbour".
I was gonna tell you that the water in Stockholm isn’t a river, since I’ve only heard it described as where one of our largest lakes, Mälaren meets the sea. I’m happy I googled though, apparently it’s classified as a river and it has a name! (I’ve never heard of it before though.) I did the last quiz a few weeks ago and I also had no idea about the lowest point or that Göta älv was the longest river, I just assumed it was one of northern ones. As we say in Swedish; You learn something each day! :)
I'm pleased I was right but to be honest I just kind of assumed it was a river. Lucky me I suppose! I've actually heard of Göta älv from some Jens Lekman songs, but there is no way I would have remembered it. I definitely learned a lot about Sweden today!
vänern is the largest lake in the EU, third in Europe after Ladoga and Onega and 26th place in the world, Vättern swedish second largest lake is the 6th largest in Europe, Those two usually is enough to know in quizes outside Sweden
I only got 4/20 so I made a mnemonic for the rest: "Um from sound's wall to gable over waxing sea and land, on southern tillow, western ridge and bower ridge, in halm's stead, Karl's stead, and Helsinkiburg, John, Lynn, and Nord are shopping for Eskil's tuna with some ore, bro." Got 20/20 in 2:08
