26:03 Also the way he says, “The TV will no longer be working AT ALL!” makes him sound like a parent punishing their child. The child, being the game itself.
Yeah I was laughing at that bit, the happy music in the background is just comedy gold And while poof is just partially sad about that he accidentally threw his wii remote at his TV
It's just hilarious to hear him have his ultimate freakout, where he destroys his TV and then hear the happy little Wii Sports music continue playing into the post-rage quietness that comes after.
I love how these videos have an accidental formula, where poof almost gets it in the first few tries, and then the rest of the video is him struggling to get past the beginning
It's not Poofesure insanity without these 4 horsemen of Chaos 1. Goes from calm to animal within a second at least once 2. It is not a video without him blaming everyone but himself 3. Turning into Mickey Mouse while angry screaming 4. Trying to calm himself down before ultimately failing
As someone who repairs TVs for a living, that break is very impressive! For TVs that might hold up better to flying Wii remotes, an "outdoor" TV might not be a bad option. They are pretty expensive though. Or for something that doesn't matter as much if it gets broken, an Insignia TV might be the way to go. Anyway, thanks for the laughs as always!
I’m pretty sure the reason why that one lane always had the ball curving right is because you were aiming to the left of the front pin on only that lane, and the spare assist code in the game was trying to pull the ball to it. All the other lanes you were aiming to the right of the front pin so the ball was curving left towards it. If you want a good example of what I’m talking about, Nicro’s blindfolded bowling video shows it well.
Except that certains fouls and of course missing the ball doesn’t count. On top of that, just hitting the ball is not easy, they eventually throw like every pitch possible (including splitters) at every speed possible, you really gotta be ready for those high speed fastballs but at the same time also be ready for the slower pitches and the splitters. This is all with 0 mistakes so idk man.
On the lanes where it was curving right was likely because Wii Sports has an autocorrect system for spares. If the Wii Remote doesn't understand which direction you're trying to curve the ball on a spare it will give you curve that it believes is best given where you're aiming and what pins are left. I'd say it tries to make sure it hits the front pin of the spare.
Since Wii Sports released right alongside the Wii, there was no Wii Motion+, which means that it was not possible to determine how you swung your Wii Mote, only how hard you swung it. Because of that, they just programmed the bowling ball to go left no matter what, since there is no way to know how you rotate the remote. Now my guess is that they thought it would be too hard and feel too unnatural to do that lane with the ball going left, they just programmed the ball to go right on this lane specifically.
This is so untrue. You can very easily make the ball spin in different directions based on your wrist rotation. It does not just “go left no matter what”. When the remote can’t tell which way you’re rotating, it will try to get the ball to spin towards the front pin, which is why it was going right on that one lane.
If I remember correctly, the ball will try to go towards the forward most pin because that's how it got programmed, so on stage 8 when he is on the left side of the head pin, it goes towards the forward most pin, which is to the right. This should explain why it always goes right if it is programmed/coded the way I think it is.
I always love your Wii sports videos! It's always also funny to see you rage. I do think if you're right about making mistakes and just having to finish all the lanes this probably is the easiest platinum it makes me want to try it now. I also liked it at 17:20 where you said " Hey look you can see my reflection. Hello." That gave me a little chuckle. I also Saw your post on Twitter about it. I should have known not to wear headphones because it was obvious It was going to be a rage video due to your thumbnail as well. My parents were in the living room though and I was in a dining room and I no they would have had a turn it down and I couldn't hear that well and I watched you before with no headphones and they don't like it that you cuss a lot. 😆
I swear one day your house will become a museum and all of the tvs and wii remotes you broke over the years and the imprints on the wall from the remotes you flung into it will be on display.
