How I got a 820 CREDIT SCORE!
Before we get to technical, let's understand why having good credit is important and it will benefit you in the future. But more importantly what you need to start doing now to in order achieve a good credit score!
Credit scores are basically a statistical analysis used by credit bureaus that evaluate your worthiness to receive credit. Lenders then use your credit scores to help determine the risk involved in making a loan, the terms of the loan and determining your interest rate. The higher your score, the better the terms of a loan.
5 Ways to increase your Credit Score:
1. Payment history (35%)
2. Credit Utilization or total debt on your CC (30% )
3. Length of credit history (15%)
4. New Credit Lines - 10%
5. Types of credits used (10%)
There are 3 credit reporting agencies you want to take note:
1. Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion
2. While there's no exact answer to which credit score matters most, lenders have a clear favorite: FICO. A FICO score is just one brand of credit score and its used by 90% of top lenders to make decisions about credit approvals. Chances are when you apply for a mortgage, an auto loan, credit card, or a new line of credit, the bank or lender is looking at your FICO Score
