I own a 30-30 and it is by far one of the most powerful weapons I own. I've been able to shoot deer all the way out to 200 yrds and I've never had a problem dropping them. I've seen multiple elk killed with a 30-30 and they dropped dead in the tracks as well. The 30-30 is also a .30 caliber round like a 30-06 and they have almost the exact same power, irl. BIG POWER BUFF IS NEEDED!!! ASAP!!!
If EW added a polymer tip ammo like the Hornady LeverRevolution IRL, I feel like the lever guns would be more viable. Let’s be honest, the lever guns lack power, so I think either they either need a rework or a new ammunition type.
@@ScarecrowTheHunter you won’t believe this either but two hours ago I got my first diamond whitetail. Ended up being a 261 and the end of his estimate was 263 so Atleast something made up for that bison. I am very happy today.
Honestly I don't understand EW's ranking of cartridges or their need to make everything weaker than it should be (or in the case of the 454, a god tier elephant gun). My first deer rifle was a 30-30 and I used it to take my first deer at 170 yards. The bullet penetrated all the way through and broke 4 ribs in the process. I know it'll never get addressed, but it's nonsense that shouldn't have made its way to the final game. Weapons are more powerful than they give them credit for smh.
Yea i wish they had took a more realistic approach but i think they went with this more Tier progression style cause of how its a more arcade style game. They always said it was for balance purposes but tbh i would rather they just perform how they do irl
@@ScarecrowTheHunter yeah honestly. Even if it were arcadey, I’d still upgrade guns as they get unlocked or as my needs arise. It’s a matter of ethics to me as well. Even though the animals are pixels on a screen, I’d rather have the full powered rifle that enables me to take an animal the best I can.
Hunted a bobcat for like an hour, patiently crawling around n tracking it Then i finally located it and shot it but the bullet went through its model So annoying, was an albino as well
