In a real setting the child would not have that exam with streat clothes on. She would most probably wear only underpants that would be lowered if there was need for ultrasound of the groin area, or taken off if the genitals were involved. But she would have blankets over the parts not examined to keep her worm. But streat clothes plus blankets as in this video is downright comical. Or perhaps they let children keep clothes on just to spare time. In that case the exam is not accurate enough and bad practice.
@AllyBentin Then your doctor did a very poor exam for several reasons, Except if the ultrasound was at your head, neck, hands, underarms, feet. But you was perhaps sedated so you slept? In that case you can be sure thay took off your clothes when you were sleeping. and you were naked at the parts of you examined. Or perhaps your exam was NMR, and not ultrasound, in case it would be possible, depending of the clothes. For ultrasound to work properly the probe must have contact with skin, and the skin must be smeared with a gel to get contimuity for the sound.
@AllyBentin The video gives the impression for children and parents that the patient will mostly be fully clothed, except a small area far up on the body. This gives a false general expression about this type of exam, and it is thus dishonest. Ultrasound is used on all parts of the body, and even inside the intimate openings. The use of gel necesitates that pretty must must be naked. Maybe that little shown in the video was only what happened you. If so your doctor did a bad exam. This is not enough to see all what iss needed to see. But I strongly suspect they did more and that you indeed were sedated so you do not remember it all. Some degree ov anesthesia is frequently used on children, with the purpose that they shall not remember it all.
@@harrythebossgamer7280 I was thinking the same thing I had an ultrasound when I was ten and I was awake for the whole. Plus I didn’t have to take my clothes off or anything. I remember going before the ultrasound and I even asked questions like whether or not I had to take my clothes off or if I had to put on a hospital gown. I was told no I could keep my clothes on and I wasn’t going to be sedated either. The whole thing was actually rather quick to be honest.
