It's time to not comply

Even if I had surplus capital to invest in a business in this country, I wouldn't because of B-BBEE, and other racist policies.

⁠@@RosemarieRofe BBBEE affects employees more than employers. These race laws make it difficult for Whites looking for jobs. It isn’t cost effective to employ Whites because of the loss of government incentives. However, as an employer with a small business, you’re not affected. Businesses with a turnover of less than 10 million are exempt from BBBEE. I ran a small business in Durban for 10 years without any race related problems. These restrictions are aimed at big businesses. In return they are paid big incentives for complying.

The law has now changed as businesses were going past the R10 million turnover mark. Now it's under 50 employees and over 1 billion rand. So dumb. You write an affidavit saying you are under 50 employees and under a billion rand. This is to keep us here.

Its a means for an incompetent self serving political appointment to get get a slice of a very small pie. Because of the small mind applied to BEE instead of growing and empowering those in need it has crippeled SA.
