My husband and I moved from New York (Long island) to Florida last March! We left all of our family and just welcomed our son into the world this past Christmas Eve. It’s been hard being away from family during such a special time but we have not regretted moving one bit. It’s really been so so good. Just to be able to be outside and go to the beach and take a walk (so many things to do without spending money) whenever we want has been life changing. Being around blooming flowers, greenery, blue skies, etc has been so good for our mental health as well. We found a beautiful area that’s super family friendly and we are absolutely in love with it. The quality of life and the opportunities this move has brought have been the biggest blessing. ❤ prayers for you guys as you discern your next step!

I wish I felt this way. Florida is doing no good for my autistic kids. I really want to go back to Massachusetts where kids with autism are a priority 😢

@@MadelieneVanMarter they are changing the laws for children with disabilities in public schools. They also change the law for the special needs scholarships to be able to go to private schools that would of helped. But now every kid in Florida can apply so that means schools will be waitlisted for yrs. Up north in Massachusetts yes wait list can be kind of long but you know at least the public school offer so much help until those therapies become available

There are lots of different methods of helping baby sleep gently without leaving them to cry that work really well.

There is the "pick up\put down" method where you keep putting your baby in its cot and picking it up if cryinf occurs until they fall asleep. Also the "camp out" method where you pat baby to sleep and gradually start to do less and less until you can place them drowsy in their cot and leave with no tears. If they cry you always return to comfort them. These methods, or a combination, helped us gently help our son to fall asleep independently and link sleep cycles during the night without a need to return multiple times.

I moved from cape cod Massachusetts to Southern middle Tennessee. Cape cod is a small place packed with people and I knew tons of people its all I knew. I moved in 2016 and it was a huge change there are pros and cons with any move you make I suggest that if you are definitely going to make the move jump in with both feet and have no regrets about your decision have faith that things will fall into place as they should and don't look back! I would imagine as with my move the biggest change will be the hot hot humid summers but your body does adjust whatever the case just face all obstacles with patience and keep the goals you have at the fore front!! We are all rooting for you no matter your decision ❤

So glad you had a nice break. You definitely deserve some "me time". I found your channel when I was pregnant with my now 4 month old. You definitely inspire me, and give me great ideas. All your boys are so cute. I love that Lincoln is trying so many new foods. When my boy is old enough I'm going to give him so many options. My daughter is so picky so I'm praying my boy will eat many foods . 😊

Hello. I live in central Florida. Daytona beach. I agree with you as far as taking the opportunity to move while your kids are little. Once they start school they will want to be with their friends and it’s just better all around to start fresh and new while kids are small and they start getting attachments to friends and all. I am super new to your channel. I love it!! I am not sure if you have a video up but what does your husband do for work? Also, do you have a video about your past? I saw a short with you mentioning you had a bad childhood sort of. With your mom. Thank you and if you have any questions about Fl I can do my best to answer.

We live in Saint Johns, FL and absolutely love it. Back before my husband and I got married we wanted to move up north so bad, but we have grown to just love living here. Not to be divisive, but it is a conservative state and many people here are like minded and homeschool friendly! Also its a very cool place for the kids because of the beach and nice weather. Our toddlers love to swim and the fall is the best because its cool weather, but no snowstorms. I would recommend Tampa, Jacksonville, Amelia Island, or Saint Johns. Further south is too hot and far to travel. Lots of people want to move to Orlando, but it is expensive and crowded. Although, Winter Park is nice! Sorry for long comment lol

@@MadelieneVanMarter oh yay! Excited for if you do move and your future videos of it. I think you and the kids will really learn to love the warm weather. Summers are very hot but houses, cars and stores have AC. Getting out early in the early morning or later afternoon is key during the summers. I have lived in Orlando for almost 20 years after growing up in NY. I agree Orlando is overcrowded. We'd like more land and peace so eventually would like to look into Ocala. Nice homeschooling community there too I've heard. But they've got bears there so yeah....😬

I moved to Tampa Florida 19 years ago from new york. I left family and a ton of friends. I came with my boyfriend and 3 small kids. He has family here but i dont. I have not looked back and still thank God today that i made this move. I just had a baby and its been a life changing experience. I feel free and not limited to anything. So much to do, even a walk in the park is amazing. I dont think you will regret it either. Good luck 😊

I had the same issue with my daughter when she started eating solid food, bc she was full! I don't believe in CIO either so i literally assumed the position of nursing, boob out and everything, used a paci and she would pass out and i could lay her down like normal.

I moved at 18 from the USA to Germany and last June after 12 years I moved back to the USA. We now live in Los Angeles (where I’m from) and we’re thinking about moving somewhere more affordable so that we’re able to buy a house. I definitely don’t regret moving and I feel the same way you do about moving once the kids are in school, so I’m scrambling to find a new city to live. I say do it, if you’re financially able to move do it or you’ll regret it. Florida is also on our list, we’re looking at houston and Charlotte too. By the way I finally had my baby boy and the Solly wraps are amazing!!!! So mad I didn’t have it with my first!

Looking for any advice. I have a 6 month old boy who had his 6 month shots on Tuesday (2 days ago), ever since then he has been awake during the night about every single hour. I am so drained. I have also given him a little Tylenol but nothing seems to be helping. Last night was worse. I also wonder if it’s teething. I know his hands are in his mouth a lot. Just wish I knew what it was as before all of this he was sleeping about 9 hours straight per night. 😞

We don’t have a fenced in yard and it’s very very small. So when my husbands home we’ll take the kids out to play for about an hour otherwise I take them on walks! We try to go to the park often but it just depends on the day! For safety reasons I don’t like them all running around outside when it’s just me to watch them. Basically it’s a challenge lol. I wish we had a fenced in yard so they could play outside all day.
