This was for me !!! It is my daily Dunkin’ Donuts intake I been doing literally every morning 7 days a week I said let me weigh myself and I gained weight so Now I’m like let me go back to how I was eating when I was about to get my surgery & after. Thank you for this ! 😊
I do well with staying hydrated, taking my vitamins and exercising. My area of opportunity is my diet. My body looks healthy but I’m sure my blood sugar is back in the danger zone. It’s time to get back on track.
5 months post op,(PERSONAL EXPERIENCE) its not that you can fit more BBBUUUTTTTT!, if u get hungry and grab a starbucks and replace a meal w that, plus its easier to drink than eat so wayy easy to regain, chips as a snack? Even if its a small amount but often easy to have too, icecreams, all those delish things we love lol, i have done them all! Not gained (yet) but have stopped at 45lbs loss. Starting weight was 190. So yes its super easy to gain or get stuck even if we cant eat much of it.. im trying to get back on track. All week i try to stick w healthy options but i do allow my self to have one or 2 unhealthy options on the weekend 🤣 still might be bad but if i cut cold turkey like i did pre diet until recently its easier to fall right back cuz ur so deprived! Lol , for anyone that thinks its easy or a miracle surgery that will take care of everything 4 u , NOPEE!! Best wishes to everyone thinking on going this route! I dont regret it one bit I will say that! 😍
I have lost so much weight I have to reintroduce myself to my friends, thanks Dr. A. What I have noticed is I can consume more soft food like cream of wheat, oatmeal and others like thick creamy soups than solid foods so I have to be mindful of how much I eat when I eat them.
The video and information you gave is golden and hit home! Been a little over 2 years and I was close to my goal weight and did not quite meet it and now I have become more relaxed and put on some weight, not much, and this video is a wake up call! It would be a pleasure to meet or hear you speak if you ever come to South Florida. Thank you Dr. Alvarez! 🙏
Okayvthank you Doc! I'm a year-and-a-half out and I don't have regain but I'm struggling to lose the last 30, and that restriction is it nearly what it used to be! I've been adding more carbs into my diet over the last couple of months simply because I can tolerate it and I track my calories. I keep hearing that cards don't matter and that it is about deficit, but obviously, I am stalling for a reason. So, I guess reducing the carbs may work and we'll see how it goes. I take in about 1500 calories a day... Sometimes 1800. Perhaps it is too much?
