Badger and skinny Pete and Jesse minus the cooking and getting clean... Those are the most realistic. Brother, I PROMISE you that our friends and family are what meth heads look like
You know, the way how Jesse handles addicts makes me think that in an alternate universe he could have gotten clean and became a great sponsor for other addicts
@@tylerhartley5031 Walt drug Jesse back time and time again. Everything bad that happened in that show starts with Walt. Everything else was either through loyalty to him, or fear to him. Often times both.
The city of Albuquerque loved the hole so much that they asked Vince to have the actor keep digging until he reached China. 7 years after this episode first aired, he actually did! Bravo Vince!
*FBI raids his house.* 'you are under arrest for damaging buried public utilities.' *Calls Saul* "Tell them you were stealing Meth. They might let you off easier"
jesse has always been one of my favourite characters because i love the type of character that's considered 'dumb' or a 'failure' by others, but is actually very clever and creative when given the motivation
@@jackiechan5815Also, Jesse’s development arc is the exact opposite of Walt’s. While, Walt was a good man gone bad… By the end of the series Jesse was a bad kid who became a good man by the end.
The guy who plays the tweaker with the shotgun is Damon Herriman, a very underrated actor. He played Charles Manson in Mindhunter and Dewey Crowe in Justified.
🙄🙄 yeah yeah yeah underrated huh? Everything that's ever been done is either _"underrated"_ or _"criminally underrated"_ on RU-vid. Every actor, musician, athlete etc etc is *underrated* 😂😂
@@donarthiazi2443 Brilliant. I saw a comment one time, saying that the guitar solo in Comfortably Numb was (to quote you) "criminally underrated". It's widely acknowledged as one of the best guitar solos of all time. Go figure. Makes ya laugh really....😂
The way he delivered those final paranoid inquisitions really reminded me of tuco and just generally real life drug users who have episodes of distrust
Youre naive to think Tucker and Gary arent the same. Ive known 'bud' dealers as Buddy. Foolish of the 2nd guy to use the real name. Or we could assume Tucker was entirely different, but like Jesse says, he knows meth heads
This scene is legitimately scary if you put yourself in Jessie's shoes. Tweakers are unpredictable as fuck, they're stimmed up and likely haven't slept in days so logic is barely an option with the thoughts in their brain.
@@Echiio Jesse isn't the protagonist of breaking bad, he's also not by definition a hero. He's one of the main characters, a deuteragonist/anti hero, Walter White is a tragic villain. The actual protagonists are technically Hank and Walter's family because they're really the only ones in the show with an understanding of what's right and wrong.
One of my favourite parts of this is Mike being absolutely confused, he doesn't even have a guess as to what Jesse has in mind, and for at least a few seconds he has to be wondering if Jesse plans on just using the shovel to beat the heck out of the guys.
Tucker's hard work paid off when he was spotted digging by a couple construction workers. After all these years, Tucker is working construction and clean.
Tucker was my favorite character on BB. A shame we didn't see a reprisal in BCS. Oh well, I'll never forget his courteous nature allowing Jesse a chance to use the toilet & the digging.. Oh man, the digging..
@@patrickmccutcheon8860 Nah, dog. That stuff is full of clays and caliche. It can be a real nightmare to dig by hand. I guess it all depends on which part of New Mexico you're in.
Yup this is pretty accurate. Lived with a M-head for 6 months, the dude would sit behind the front door all night with a shotgun thinking people were going to break into the house. Would wake me up the middle of the night because he thought someone was putside watching him through the windows. He eventually fired off a shot in the backyard towards the shadow people. I go outside and tell him nobody is there. Even locked himself in the bathroom and barricaded the door so nobody would break in. Crazy stuff but worst roommate experience of my life
@@HutchFTW it wasn't like that for the first 4 months, but he apparently lost his job and went off on the deep end towards those last two months. Just gradually got worse. Yes the rent was cheap
I also had a drug addict neighbor once, though more Heroin, 2 years of him trying to get clean and falling back into old habits because if his shithead "friends". He had been doing hard stuff since his early teens, so his brain was mush and you just saw it in his face. He was a good person at heart, but his addiction mixed with his fried brain made him be a bad person, including one time he kicked in my door. Luckily nothing serious ever happened, but it was a lot of small stuff, especially noise disturbances.
arguably the greatest, most impactful scene in arguably the greatest series ever.. summarises the essence / message of the show.. stay away from drugs!
"greatest, most impactful scene"? umm are you the one thats high? what abouts jessies acceptance scene, or the finale scene where walt sees jessie again? or like a ton others???
Yeah. Amphetamine use causes psychosis with strong paranoia. It's a mix of the over-stimulation from constant high dopamine release compounded by lack of sleep, probably with a touch of knowing you're committing a felony. Meth users will start looking for cameras in their walls, look out the window for feds and police, start doubting if people they know are even real. Makes them extremely prone to suggestion, but also unpredictable, especially if you get them nervous. It also causes hyper-fixation, especially on repetitive tasks. Jesse never specified what he was digging for, only that the other guy already knew what was down there. He let that guy fill in the blank with whatever weird impulse came to mind. Dude probably didn't even remember why he was digging anymore or that someone was in the house, only that he was already digging so it's probably what he should be doing. Source: a history of family and friends that have used meth. I have also. Don't do meth.
@@CosmicWaltz7 Thanks for the detailed response, I didn't remember this scenes context. I appreciate you sharing. Yeah, never plan to do hard drugs. So many horror stories. Unrelated, this guy really sells it with his acting. Atleast I think he does? Is this realistic to how it looks?
@@darksideofevil13 Depends on the person, but, yeah, both of the tweekers play the parts well. Some people become more angry than others. Some get more talkative. But, pretty accurate mannerisms for both.
My favourite thing about this, is that Mike had to pop the trunk for Jesse to get the shovel. Mike has no idea what Jesse has in mind and is clearly sceptical about what's about to happen, but he pops the trunk anyway so he can see what Jesse plans to do 😂 That's a good manager right there, doesn't ask the details but lets his subordinate have the freedom to try new methods
Mike at this point also doesn't really care if Jesse gets killed. He's under orders from Gus to take Jesse with him. He starts to care for Jesse due to him proving himself useful, and overall just being a good person.
The fact that Mike, the 2nd man to the greatest distributor of meth in the southwest USA doesn't know how it typically affects people is very sad I guess always keep the distance between the $$$$ and the ugly side of things, or just ignore anything that doesn't help the operation Funny cross-section here
this why i feel breaking bad way better than bcs. In bcs , saul had to deal w some tweakers and they acted like straight disney characters but here the shits accurate
BCS ruined itself with the last 4 garbage episodes. It should've ended with Fun and Games, but no the had to make Jimmy become an idiot who get's ID'd by a dumb old grandma and becomes a simp for Kim.
@@ValiantWrestling Fair point. The last few episodes were probably my least favorite. Seemed very rushed and not thought out.. However BB got quite annoying by season 4
"You may know this PI waiting around in the car shit, but I know meth heads." See what I did here? That's what he said in the video! Thumbs up, please! THUMBS UP!!!
The most unrealistic part is the bong not breaking when tuckers bf got knocked out XD. i'm pretty sure i could break a bong by running to fast lol. Glad to see this again, its one of the few scenes that shows jesse's wisdom
A couple of weeks ago I spent at least 10, maybe 15 minutes searching youtube for this episode. Could not find it. So a big hearty thank you to CC for posting this clip!
@@mantis5581 Lol.... I can only imagine what your feeble brain would do with an actual sheet...... (Omg! This is just jumbled letters and numbers.... And what TF is this a picture of....)
