My favorite thing about the DarkRP is the realism, how true-to-life the RP situations can get. When I was in at a bar a few years ago, hit a guy in the face. He started complaining into the ether and in about 30 seconds a flying wizard phased through the wall and dragged me with his laser beam to a room in the sky, where he demanded I explain myself. Boot up Gmod for the first time in a while the other day, same things happens. Still can't believe it.
The cops are like free range moderators they arent given any real power over the other players but they can still abuse the hell out of what powers they are given
Admins always use the combine elite as their playermodel because they all suffer from a superiority complex. But an advisor would fit more. Not only is it an even higher rank, it represents their body shape irl

I played on an all French HL2RP server for about a week without knowing a lick of French. Somehow I became a cop and all I knew was how to say "Wall" in their language so I just searched everyone I encountered lmfao

So I just joined a random populated RP server, and it just gave me a minigun as a daily random reward. Got caught but holy shit it was begging for that RDM galore, totally worth it. Keep up doing god's work, Bub. These adminges totally deserve what's coming to 'em.

@@Palexite If you find a server with chill dudes who play it serious and casual, you can have a lot of fun. My best few months were in a Warhammer server where I was a very lucky Guardsman who ended up being thrown into a medical role (no medicae were on the server at the time so I was 'volunteered' for it) and ever since I became a medic I proceeded to just do medical malpractice from then on. The OOC events, when the server is in downtime can be absolutely amazing if you have the right people on, the server had a Psyker death battle that lasted for about an hour and a half with the Guard watching and placing charitable donations (gambling is illegal). There also was a PAC God on that server who made entirely custom built and flyable ServoSkulls.

i'll never forget when i was in mexican border and i was just running around for 4 hours talking and killing people until a mod finally logged in, he asked me why i had 34 kills in the log and i just said "yeah" and got banned for 2 months

What's interesting to me is that they have GMod, a game capable of incredible scripting and modding, yet they can't seem to script or mod in gameplay features that prevent people from "cheating" or "breaking the rules". Very odd if you ask me.
Why would they do that? Then there'd be no power tripping and they'd just have to mope around making depressing virtual small talk like they already do the rest of the time
It's because the servers don't design a fucking thing, literally nothing. They just yoinked everyone's mods and just slapped it all together. They literally have the capacity to make a server on a basic level and that's it 🤣

I will forever be convinced RP servers are peak cringe. You will never be able to convince me otherwise. The lowest of life and the bottom'est of the barrel of humanity play these servers legitimately. It's truly embarrassing. If any rp's see this comment, please just do yourself the favor.
I only play RP server to Roleplay as a _super saiyan_ while stealing people’s _genitals_ while accidentally _killing a child_ while _doing push ups_ Besides that, this RP server is kinda unfun to play when it’s so heavily regulated, you can’t even place one fucking blocks without the 14 year old admin coming in or everyone screams RDM when killed which… _while there is fun in solitude_ there’s a point where _it’s boredom_
I’m an admin on a GMOD RP server and I love this guy. This honestly makes the RP more entertaining because most of the people on the server are boring and lame. Keep trolling bro lol.

It reminds me of my teenage years when I was addicted to playing darkRP I even became an admin and took everything seriously until one time a ex-admin just broke all the rules, when I banned him the owners unbanned him it pissed me off so I just fucking RDM the server until I got perma ban lmao. I've only ever had fun on 1 gmod rp server. It was a star wars rp, and it was great cause they actually roleplayed. I escaped the training thing, found a gun and killed a few people. They actually had the whole server on a manhunt looking for me. Didn't call an admin to admin sit me. The people chasing me also had fun doing it too. Like how is standing around doing nothing for these people fun, let people rdm or rob people, and then actually play the game to stop them, no admin calling. I don't get the point of all these police or guard roles, when any crime is a ban or a 20 minute timeout
