This game is not like most other fighting games. Every character in this game is balanced quite well. Akira is indeed considered S but that is only at the highest levels of play. Ironically he is the least reliable character for amateur players in Vf5 as he has 0 scrub friendly strategies. You really need to understand the poking game in VF5 to be good with Akira.

Why didn’t Sega allow new fighters to come? Surely it would make the game more fun and interesting. Virtua fighter is one of the best games I have played in my childhood and it’s a shame that it doesn’t receive the love and care like Tekken.

@@Based4Life I read somewhere that Sega Japan was loath to bring back Virtua Fighter: they know the series does a lot better in their home land than the west.

Maybe its difficult to develop characters for this game?. Like each character is pretty sophisticated (if you wanna call them that), and it makes sense that it would be difficult to develop characters for this game. But i still hope that they would bring new characters to the game. Maybe make some design changes for the rest of the cast.

@@coreo2408 AM-2 was given the green light to work on Ultimate Showdown around 2019. If they ask Sega Japan two or three years earlier, AM-2 and Ryu ga Gotoku would've took the opportunity to make new fighters.

@@6arcsn1sky they only had a year of dev, they did consider doing balance patch for characters but decided not to. I'd rather them make a new character for a new VF

Given how this is the FOURTH installation of VF5 since the original came out in 2006 Even then, SEGA doesn't add much of the shit other fighting games have into Virtua Fighter, plus if VF didn't exist, Dead Or Alive wouldn't exist either.

The game is pretty fun, it only feels awful cause you haven’t gotten used to it yet I do admit the sound effects and voice acting sound outdated, but the graphics are beautiful.
