I agree that it’s difficult. I’ve been working on getting characters into elite and the difficulty goes from easy to absolutely nuts.

The ritual of grinding all the way up to 12mil gsp only to go on a losing streak and end up back at 9mil….it’s hell

I've been facing a lot of players at like 9 or close to 10 million, which seem much better than what their gsp number is. Most likely, a lot of players r dropping out of elite or a bit lower as well.

I've found it depends on the time of the day, sometimes on the weekdays, free GSP. A Saturday morning, not so free anymore.

As Someone who’s been in the Ultimate Community for almost 6 years now, you could’ve easily got into elite smash in its earlier years. because, if you’re able to get all of the Main roster there first then you won’t have any trouble dealing with the DLC fighters next. You need to know how it works in casual and “Competitive” situations of online. You need to have Fast reflexes in order to win matches instead of just mashing your way to victory.

I used to do a lot of stage combat training for film and theatre and I developed costochondritis from the strain of taking body shots and it took me months to recover from it. Felt like I was getting stabbed in the heart whenever I took a deep breath or exercised. I was worried it was permanent but it slowly passed. Don’t try to rush things; do what little exercises you can to stay positive and productive while you’re sidelined!

I got my peach and daisy today in elite 6 months of grinding those characters. Just started playing ultimate this year and have experience from smash 4. It’s crazy how many good players you can run into at lower gsp. But I’ve gotten so much better at adapting and my neutral is way better than when I started. My goal was to her in elite by the end of December but I met it earlier than expected. 2months ago I went to my second ever tournament and got embarrassed didn’t win a single game. That made grind more. My goal is to go back there and hopefully actually win 1 game.

When you think about it, getting into Elite Smash is either just taking advantage of rematching the same person who you keep beating, OR you have to be a 3-2’er or better against the other people on Quickplay. Even if you lose fairly often, if you win just slightly more often than you lose, you’ll get in eventually. So good job Poppt1 heheh

3:15 as someone in an area where Steve isn’t banned, I don’t see him that often. Elite Smash in east coast America is a lot of Samus, Cloud, and Sonic.

I watched your old videos and it said it was easy, I thought I was doing something wrong but it turns out I’m just playing pretty well and above average, but everyone cheeses and lags bad, and just knows how to play the game so we’ll. Everyone I play against has 1000 hours plus, and I literally played agaisnt a 7,500 hour person a week ago. Just insane anymore.

falling soft hit nair - fastfall dash up smash works at 100% for midweights. late DA bair works when ledgetrapping. Raw bair when corner pressuring. Up smash oos. These are fox's main ways to kill, but make sure to also learn other niche ones.

Man Light makes Fox look so cool that I really wanted to get good with him but I just can't do it. I have a few characters in elite and feel like I'd have to put in 10 times the amount of effort as the others to get Fox in. People who say Fox is easy are out of their minds

i live in norcal and im confident in saying we are the worst/most toxic region on elite (in the U.S.), and i can say its hard for me bc im bad but a while ago i got every character i play in elite (i play like over 15 characters lol, im casual, never went to a tournament)

The problem with online now is that people with over 1000 hrs in the game are playing on Smurf accounts in low GSPs making it impossible for linear progression to ultimate
