I. Don't know who taught you what gravel is. But that's crushed rock. That's not gravel gravel. Never goes through a machine. Gravel is naturally in the Earth. Gravel does get sized. I believe to winch minus here in Vermont. You can get it any size, but you don't need to buy crushed Stone and call it. That's ridiculous. That's why you paid the price you paid crust , not gravel

Busy day. Received our DJI 1000 yesterday with solar panels. Charged and ready to use. Nice garden, makes some good vegetables. Pole barn great for shade. You may need a small enclosed 10x10 space for tools, etc. that you can lock, store needed items, and save foot traffic. Older chickens will make some great chicken and dumplings. ...What do you call a group of farmers in a basement? "Whine cellar."

Boy I miss having a garden. Just seeing it grow and then getting all that fresh produce. Beautiful. I red on of the comments below about that drain pipe and have to agree. The only other option is to let the natural water flow take place and then add gravel where you need it to keep the mud from getting too deep. I always used crushed river rock (we called it #4 if I recall correctly). because it begins to interlock as it gets compressed and forms a nice sturdy base. Great video as always Nathan. Thanks!

Somebody commented last couple videos back about digging out that whole yard back to the road. That's a lot, maybe good for later, but he's right on the drainage. I would compromise and just dig out a big enough alley to drive the Kato right in there. Then you can use that tilt bucket to slope that down to a proper ditch. Just cut back the upper slope to a 45deg. angle of repose.

You can kickstart your tomato and pepper plants by coming out about six inches from the roots, dig a garden fork straight down into the soil and waggle the fork back and forth a few times. This is called "shocking the roots" and seems to wake them up. You should see a response within about a week.

Hello Nathan, the Rattlesnake beans look good. Granny planted them every year, 1 row 50 yds long on 8' tall pole and twine trellis. Do you make Shellys at the end of the year? The family would all go to Grannys for Labor Day and pick everything that was ready. Then not pick again until right before first frost, it would get striped. Everything would get pulled, all the vegetables, Bean poles, slanted cattle panels for cukes and all the plants. The garden would get turned under, disced, leveled and planted with a winter cover crop. Her Rattlesnake beans bloomed until pulled up so when they were striped, the sizes were up to 14-15" long. Any longer than 8" would get split and the hulls thrown away. The naked beans would get mixed into the snaps and canned. 2nd weekend of July was corn day, 1/2 acre. I hated silking so I volunteered to pull before dawn. I really like milking the cobs for cream corn. Your content mix is very good, keep it up!

Great plan to use your new facility for many months before adding permant concrete flooring the adage of "not putting your feet into concrete" comes to mind. Hello Nathan, I have a long gravel driveway myself and have had several loads of stone on it. The place I buy mine is Powell Valley Stone in Lee County Virginia. They may haul you a load there in East Tennessee, it wouldn't hurt to call them to see. I usually get around 21 ton a load and it is much cheaper than hauling it yourself.

Spent hens make great soup. You can also grind the meat. Mix it with ground pork fat at 25-30% and it's pretty good. Be sure to debone the dark meat if you're grinding, it really adds to the flavor. Once they quit laying all the energy that used to go into making eggs goes into making fat. Pluck, don't skin. You can bake the skin with a little salt and make skin chips. Add the big globs of fat you'll remove from the body cavity to the dish you bake the skin in and it will all render out. Save that and you have schmaltz, the best fat for frying eggs, cooking potatoes, browning meat, etc.

20mm aggregate is about A$120 per metric Tonne, you work that out versus your measurements. I have 3 Lithium power packs (different brand to yours), 1300W, 2000W & 3600W. Many people overestimate what these will be useful for, but for lower power loads, for short periods of time, they can be great, but for continuous use and heavier loads, a Generator is often a better option.

Here in Nashville I have had the best year ever for tomatoes. Started coming in the week before July 4. Gotten a lot of squash and cucumbers but my bell peppers are not doing anything like yours.

3/4 Clean was about the same price here two years ago when I was preparing for my shop building. 3/4 modified was about the same. (delivered prices) I bought about 60 ton by the time I was done....

Some time you can't see it until you have a way to measure the site. It will work out one day and it may surprise you how the building helps 'layout' the site.
