This was most enjoyable. I would *love* to see a whole series of videos on Jason's house: fixing/rebuilding the decks, power washing the siding, cleaning out the garage, anything else you can think of. It was delightful to watch!
❤ IT! It would be solo cool! AND, if hé gets a part if the revenus from the videos, IT coup fund a tractor! Je needs one! Je going to die if he has to keep on using a push mower... AND, IT could also be seen as an investment, since it would free some of his time... Just saying... No, non, I'm not at all tram Jason... 😅😂
Can I just say its nice to hear you say nice things about your ex wife? My parents HATED each other and the mental damage it did on my sister and I to see them fight and say such horrible things about each other. Thank you for being civil.
That’s what I think and hear to as well! You can just see the amazing relationship they have and when people think he is actually serious about their banter, it just blows my mind! You really have to have NO sense of humor at all ever to not understand this!
I was shocked to see him taking care of his horrible son Jason. After all, Johnny Spin Kick can barely stand to look at that lazy good for nothing bum! :P
Here in Washington state we have blackberry vines that grow in our saplings in our flowerbeds, around our house, in our fences, up the garages, gardens…I hate them.
Jason has a very beautiful yard with lots of potential. Nowadays, home lots are so small, there's just not much room to enjoy the outdoors without the neighbors hearing every word you say. Once you can afford to get a porch/patio replacement, it will be even nicer. One thing at a time eventually gets you a nicer place without the scourge of debt.
Chuck: "You're still filth." Jason: " I know." Priceless. But, I know you're just kidding with him. It warms my heart that you and Jason can work so well together. Not all fathers and sons get along well enough for them to work together as adults. My husband and I lost our only child, a son, last year. They had a business together and they always worked so well together, too. Our son had not been sick and was just in his early 40s. He died in his Dad's arms (from sudden cardiac arrest). I'm not saying this to bring anyone down. He was a great son and we all loved each other. That's what matters. When I see Chuck teasing Jason, it reminds me of the good times my son and his Dad enjoyed together. Realky liked this video a lot. Your videos have truly helped me over the last several months. The way you help others, without judging them, is an inspiration. Hope your channel continues to grow. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing that with us, cause I feel, even though it's heartbreaking sad that you have lost your son, you got the heartwarming memories nobody can take away from you. And Chuck and Jason are also living that through the fullest. It also reminds me of my favorite quote: “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” #teamJason
@@channyh.221B Thank you for your kind words. It is better right now than it was several months ago. First comes total shock and disbelief. Then trying to manage all the different levels of grief. It is not for the faint of heart!! But, these things I know for certain: 1) I know my son knew his Dad and I both loved him, 2) I know that my son knew that his Dad and I knew how much he loved us, 3) I know that my son knew about God's love and His perfect plan for our salvation, and 4) I know where he is today. It doesn't mean my heart wasn't breaking on Mother's Day because it certainly was. But, then Monday came and I tried to just get back on track. One thing that has helped me is that I have gone into a deep dive on housecleaning. That's how I found this channel. Chuck motivates me with his kind heart and I've learned a lot of new ideas from his cleaning techniques. I've been cleaning out closets and cabinets and reorganizing this entire house. A lot of things will be donated to Goodwill. It's been therapeutic to refocus on something else besides grief. Of course, there are memories of our son in every room in this house since it is the house we brought him home to after his birth. But, if I find some old pictures, I cry for a bit, and then get back to cleaning. I don't think there is anything wrong with grieving unless you get into it so deep that there is no clear way out of it. For me, I needed to get busy living and honoring my son's memory instead of laying in bed crying. He wouldn't want that at all. So, I've subscribed to several of the channels that Chuck follows and honestly, I feel like they are all helping me to stay motivated. Also, I enjoy reading the comments. I have never mentioned my son until now on these channels. Somehow seeing Chuck teasing Jason just reminded me so much of my own family and it felt okay to mention it. Anyways, I appreciate your response so very much. You know what they say about angels among us...I think that's what you were to me today. 😇
@@missmustache4207 Thank you. Some days are easier than other days. For me, just staying busy has helped tremendously. I have to take it slow due to my health issues. But that's okay, too. I'm learning from people like Chuck, "Cleaning with Barbie", and "Arikatariina". They're all so upbeat and happy people. Their big hearts are an inspiration and motivation to me. I ordered some cleaning supplies that they use from Amazon and I'm using Chuck's All Purpose Cleaner, using his recipe. It works very well. Cleaning has been challenging, but it's a challenge that has been positive for me. Don't get me wrong. I'm still grieving. Losing an only child, or any child, is the worst thing a parent will ever go through and I would not wish this experience on anyone. But, we had no choice in this matter and it's what we choose to do afterwards that is important. My advice to others is to tell the important people in your lives how much you love and appreciate them everyday. Stay involved in each others lives and help and support each other in any way that you can...like Chuck just recently helping Jason with his yard. That's a memory they'll always have to share. And, that's the kind of memories we have of our son. He's gone, but he will never be forgotten. Be well, Miss Mustache. Hope you have a wonderful week. 🙂
I'm so sorry for your loss. Treasure those memories, as I know you will. I'm glad you shared that with us. It was heartbreaking but also heartwarming. Lots of love and hugs. ❤
Man that lawn mowing around the 15 minute mark was so satisfying to watch. The nice thing about letting the grass get a little longer is that you can REALLY tell the difference
Agree! Also I was sitting here watching just enjoying it while simultaneously thinking, am I normal? Why do I enjoy this stuff? What is it that makes me love the neatness & uniformity? My 🧠 just did a massive fart and went off on a tangent 😆
Don't be too anxious to get him a riding mower. It's good exercise. A weed whacker yes. I think it's pleasant to do on a cool evening. Can't wait to see the garage cleaning. You guys always have something to do. Oh, look. No dishes or windows!
I have an electric mower so I do not have the gasoline smell anymore 😢.But I love the electric mower! Just have to make sure I put the battery on the charger when I am done. Not a hippie thing... Got it very cheap.
"Spin kick Johnny" 😄The only person on RU-vid with a different name each week. Witness Protection Program?? 🤔What an amazing job on Jason's yard!! So therapeutic to watch. Totally calmed my nerves. My daughter is in the hospital right now having her second baby. I needed this calming and hilarious content today. 😊
@@melodygelpi9491 Thank you so much!! ❤So far everything is good. Baby is coming tonight. My daughter went into labor at her baby shower 8 weeks early.
First thing I noticed were the honeusuckles ~ Lonicera japonica if my botanical nerd brain recalls correctly, so glad you kept them. Jason is going to need those beautifully scented flowers to cover up some of that Jason Filth! 😂 Love ya both 🤘🥰🤘
It never ceases to amaze me what is termed a 'backyard' in the US. Where I live [seaside town North West UK] this video would have been over and done within five minutes, and there would have been very little grass. To me, what Jason has there is a potential GARDEN, not a backyard. He could gradually make it so there are tons of beautiful evergreen shrubs that give interest and beauty all year round, herbaceous perennials, vegetables, and a few annuals for fun. Why do you guys [American people] tend to have so much *grass* everywhere? Sorry if I sound negative. It is *always* lovely to see parents helping out their children [adult/filth or otherwise] and vice versa.
That house will be so nice once it gets some TLC. Love seeing a caring Father & sons that love each other so much. Glad Jason paying for this house & not just rent that never amounts to nothing.
Yes the bigwigs have been trying to tell the young folks not to buy🤨 and they need the old one-two punch in the face. Owning property is a basic human right!!
@@justkiddin84 There are way too many people on this planet to be able to own property. It's not sustainable. Imagine all those millions upon millions of city dwellers wanting to go and own property. Not possible and no, it's not a human right by any means.
1. I'm so glad I found your channel. 2. We have a very similar sense of humor 3. I had an online appointment with my therapist last week and when I signed into her waiting room, I used the name, "Farty McButtface." She approved 4. Filth
That is a lot of lawn to take care of, but it's so pretty and serene feeling. It looks like it will be a nice house for Jason once he gets it all cleaned out and cleaned up. You two made a huge amount of progress in one day !
Watching from WA State, again. I could watch Jason mow his yard all day long. So adorable. Gosh, you guys did a really nice job on his yard. GO TEAM JASON !!! Anticipate next video.
Wow, the filth cleaning up after itself. We never stop parenting, even when theyre grown! Looking forward to Jason and Daniels channels. You said Daniel is very much a hippy, and i sort of thought that already when he was wearing sandals for that first video i saw him in, but i bet the trainers are a lot more practical for the work you do. Excellent video as always 🎉
LOVED this video. Had to work 10-13 hour days inside all last week...didn't see the sunshine or hear birds....this really helped my mood today! Thank you. And congrats to Jason for being so young and buying his own home. That is something in today's economy! And you're an awesome Dad for helping him--I like to believe that all of us parents do the same for our children that are working hard but need a hand every now and then!
The filth doesn't fall far from the tree, Mr. Hotdog water Popsicles! Love all your content, looking forward to your sons' future channels too. Be well from washington state USA ❤️
Oh my, a family of RU-vidrs! It's nice to see family helping out, even though you sound off now and then. Enjoy watching your vlogs, always a 👍's up. The best to you and yours, from Ohio.
It’s entertaining watching you and Jason working together and you as a Dad helping him around his home. Not all of us had that relationship with our dads. Just suggesting adding black coils to the bottom of all the down spouts to direct the water away from the house.
Gee, Chuck. You deserve a crown👑 of laurels for helping your son Jason with the lawn mowing and other much-needed chores that need addressing in his house. Do you know you're a groovy dad😇? You're doing all this for your baby, and still, you call him a piece of filth💩. You're priceless, Chuck🤣. 30:06 Hey, kid. Don't you think your old man deserves a tall mug of beer🍺 after hours of removing the grass and weeds from your lawn? Yeah, Chuck. He's FILTH 🙄
@@rds1717 He has chosen several nicknames to call upon himself. I remember once he referred to himself as Chuck at the beginning of one of his later episodes. For some reason, I'm so used to the name that I usually refer to him as Chuck. Does that answer your question?
Love your content, so therapeutic to watch and your purpose is wonderful - should you ever want to tackle Australia 🇦🇺 we would welcome you in Melbourne 😊
YOU ARE MY HERO💪.. I HAVE PTSD,OCD,ADD,ADHD,ECT...I USED TO LISTEN TO #WHATTHEHAIL$..WITH JEREMY AND GEORGE (DOING COIN PUSHERS) TO GO TO SLEEP..BUT YOUR VOICE IS SO CALMING 😊I CAN SLOW MY BRAIN DOWN LONG ENOUGH TO TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND SLEEP..AND YOUR VIDEO'S ARE AMAZING ‼️ THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU ❣️
Awesome 👌. I've got the same Tractor Supply hat and for some reason I always wear it for yard work. Wife washed it the other day (1st time) and darn if that hat feels lighter. 😮
I love honeysuckle! Smells so good. When I was a little girl(about 55 yrs ago) we sat in the grass and picked the blooms, smelled them and then ate the drop of "honey" inside. Probably why I'm overweight at 60 yrs old. 🤣 The yard looks good and it only took less than 30 minutes. 🤣😂😜
My favorite video so far. I am a gardener. I love garden and yard transformations. I like seeing hoards cleaned up. But this was relaxing, therapeutic, and I feel such peace. I love it. YAY Jason you have a big fun yard! I bet its overgrown again. PART2?? :D
I expected to see a video cleaning a nasty house but this was a great video with you cleaning up the outside. Great job guys that looks so much better. I love your attention to the little details on all things you do.
I just signed up for your paid subscription. I love watching you and the funny banter you have with your son. I absolutely love that you don't add any stupid background music!
Cardboard is a great weed barrier you can throw under the rocks, it'll also smother any weeds that are underneath and eventually break down and turn into more soil, I think the planters idea for his flower beds is a good idea, should be low-maintenance if you choose some local flowers.
Wow, big job you Jason got her done, looks wonderful. You certainly are an energetic man, no dust under your feet. Working hard you are still coming up with new ideas.
Wow, that yard looks so much better now! You guys worked so hard to get it all spruced up! I truly enjoyed watching, and learned some tips on yardwork while I watched. Habe a great weekend!
Love your videos and always watch for the new one! I watch Post 10, too. I vote that you keep helping Jason clean up his place until it's all spiffy. I'll get *at least* 3 people to subscribe to your channel if you do (will try for more)! 💖
I never knew that you do out door cleaning also. Where do you get your energy from? What ever you do always come out so nice. Your devotion is so great it shines threw. Never lose your sense of humor, I love it.
Is that, “Johnny no wearing gloves, while I work in the yard, because my hands are weapons of mass destruction from Denver?” It’s how I roll. Watch it happen.
Congratulations on 150,000! Growing faster! That yard is a big! Jason needs a deck out the back door...nice view back there. Good father son jobs....we all like to help our kids....even though they are filth 🤦🏻♀️- watching from Lake Wales, Florida
What a good dad you are. Clearing out an overgrown yard is not an easy feat. Well done! It's gonna look amazing once you get the porches rebuilt, the garage cleared out, and the garden in place. Some rose bushes along the front porch would be wonderful. How big is the lot that Jason's house sits on? It's huge. I guess one perk of rural living is plenty of space between you and the neighbors. I'm not sure exactly where you guys live in IL, but the furthest south I've been in that state are the St. Louis suburbs on the IL side and from what I remember, there are plenty of towns that look not too different from where Jason is (I'm from the Chicago area and sadly did not travel around my home state much before I moved to AZ).
Am I first??? Can't wait to get my spin kick shirt!!! (I'm calling it a flying spin kick) 😊 I think it's nice you help out Jason. Plus, a possible lawn clean up channel? Sign me up!
There is also an herbicide to remove brush/seedlings... after you cut it to a stub, paint the cut surface with the herbicide (help to use a squirt top instead of a brush).
Look up Charles Dowding's no dig method of gardening. You can put cardboard down on those front flowers and cover it with several inches of compost and you won't get weeds. But you need to keep putting a couple of inches of compost down twice a year.
I vote for a hey look, more dishes shirt. Power washing the house would be satisfying So how did it go at teacher parent night when you called Jason filth 😆
Nice start to cleaning up the yard. I always found the hardest part is trying to get the roots out on those random invasive trees/shrubs that plant themselves. I wish you well and a strong back.
Oh my gosh I had just taken a mouth full of zoos and when y’all sat in the chairs and you said you’re still filth and then a looooooong pause and then Jason says, “I know” in his sweet Jason voice I about spit my food out all over my iPad screen y’all kill me!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. His house is going to look great after y’all fix everything and actually his lawn already looks fantastic with just the mowing and weed eating etc…. Once you get the planters up front and put down the decorative rocks it will really spice up the front entryway. What a great Dad you are btw!!! Even though Jason is filth to you he’s still lucky to have such a great Dad!!!
Good job! How nice for Jason to have a house at a young age. That yard is huge. When you paint the front porch, the front door could use some new paint also. When you rebuild the back porch think of the size deck you could have out there 🤔 and one more nag, if you have a power washer the one side of the house needs a bath. See I got several jobs for you 😁 loved the ending when you both recline and relax and the pictures with Dakota. Thanks you never disappoint 💗
