This is the Hardest Challenge I've done! Its starting to get a little but hard to find yard to do but Today is day 4 out of 7 OVERGROWN lawn makeovers in one week. Hey Al, thanks so much for doing this. This is actually my dads house. After my mom passed away 3 years ago he just pretty much let it all go to hell as you can see. My grandmother now lives with him (the older lady you spoke to)and is trying to get things turned around but at her age there’s only so much one can do when it comes to yard work especially in the heat we normally have. Thanks so much again for doing this. Now that it’s chopped down she plans on having it regularly cut so it never gets this bad again. God bless and take care.

My dad is a handyman and a tradesman but above all else a hoarder. Lots of people can afford to pay him for electrical work but if they can’t he’ll barter for whatever they have. He picked up all these mowers through one job or another. None of them were ever functional his plan was to fix them up and sell them for a profit. As you see over time through neglect and exposure none even have a hope at running anymore. After my mom passed away my dad just began neglecting everything the house, his health and of course the lawn and mowers as you can see here.

While my husband was very ill, our neighbors cut our grass for us. Our next door neighbor cooked dinner for us dozens of times. I am so lucky to have wonderful neighbors.

Al, you will NEVER fail at anything you try! You’ve already cleaned up so many yards that were a complete mess! You never complain and you never talk about the people who let their lawns get out of hand! That says a lot about the good person that you really are! On this lawn I’m watching here, you have a BIG mess and you are having a lot of dried branches all over the ground to pick up before you could mow! Without a word of complaint, you soon had them picked up and were busy mowing for free! God bless you, Al! You are a blessing to many people!

No doubt! Doing for others with a motto "Impact over views"! Another point I'd like to make is, I just hope these "Struggling with everyday life" people realize they are blessed to have that neglected big yard complete with the home they live in. Do they appreciate how much more the struggling would be if they were homeless like so many nowadays, you know those struggling unfortunates we ignore. I wonder if they realize they have options. If there are relatives waiting for them to die so they can live there and neglect the yard- they need to get on the phone and tell them if their counting on neglecting the yard one day they need to visit and bring any lawn care kit they have access to including gloves to protect those soft fleshy hands they have because its now going to be recurring until I kick the bucket and hopefully after I kick it as well. If there's no people impatiently waiting another option is to sell this home I can no longer keep up. Then after securing comfortable living arrangements for the sunset year(s), maybe go on that dream vacation if there physically able and then have fun finding worthy recipients for the balance. Wow by going on and on I'm neglecting my messy house and my messy children as well! Off I go!

It amazes me how my cherished and and protected house plants are just wild there, they’re treated like weeds cuz down there they grow like that. Glad you keep an eye out for those snakes. Oh, I’m in Minnesota!
