Brian, I was happy to see you get lost because of your gps. Personally I don't like using a gps to travel because if we always know where we are going in life, it takes away the unknown aspect which is a prime ingredient for adventure. Many times being lost opens up new adventures, or allows us to see things which we might never have seen otherwise. So by all means get lost now and then. This video put some of the adventure back in the Adventurevanman channel. Thank you!
Good advice MrBr549. I was on my way back to Las Vegas from Reno and because of missing a tiny road sign in a small podunk town, I wound up in California about an hour out of the way, and another hour back. Stupid me, I was depending on my cell phone instead of looking at the map! And of course, there was no cell signal to tell me the error of my ways. Always, always look at a map first. Even WAZE takes me off on the wrong roads about town.
I would need some nice Lay's potato chips with that yummy Sandwich! I could certainly stay at that awesome spot 5 Days! Thanks for sharing, I'm grounded for a few months while my best friend has chemo. When she is well, then I will begin Again! 🐙
I really like your videos, the only problem is it's 3:30 in the morning and now I'm hungry after watching you eat that sandwich LOL, thanks for sharing your journey
Great and outstanding video, Brian! My Dad used to take us out to middle of nowhere to see old buildings like the one in this vid. He would tell us that 'If nobody see's them they just fall down'. Now they are really rare! Dad was right, again.
Your videos are such a welcome break from my hectic life right now. We should be able to do something similar next year and your videos give us hope. Thank you so much Brian!
You are a good cook. I always get hungry watching you cook up your dinner even if it's a fairly simple meal. I think you should have your own tv cooking show. You could call it "Van Cooking with Brian" or something like that. I'm sure some of your creative subscribers could help you with a witty name. Love the views from the drone.
I love exploring to find boondocking spots, but I would've gotten stuck with my rig...Brian, this video was exceptionally well done, the drone shot and then then the sunset. So enjoyable to watch. Happy camping!
Hey Brian!! I went through the same "wrong turn" issue a few monhs ago with my GPS up in northern Vermont. I would need a four wheel drive truck, and an axe to get through the woods to get to our destignation! Take Care!
Heya ITM13! Just discovered you earlier this week! Great channel ya got. Looking forward to more of your work. AdventureVanMan is a great inspiration if you're into van living.
I kept having to clean my computer screen... it seemed to have specks all over it... oh wait, there not budging! HA, they're on his windshield!!!! Hahahaha
Getting better with that drone man and your timing with the music when you switched driving scenes was perfect. Thumbs up on the great camping spots bro.
I'm not sure what it is, but I always look forward to your cooking portions of your videos. Even when you make something simple like this tuna sandwich, haha. It's cool that you include it in with a good majority of your videos as well. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to your continued journey!
Hey Brian, so glad to see you enjoying your journey,FYI for better maps than your atlas provides as you enter a state stop at welcome center and grab a free state map,fro even better detail if you want county maps stop in and see the folks at the chamber of commerce,if your real nice to them they might share the location of their favorite swimming hole.happy trails to you. 😇. 🚆. 👋😎
That looks like a great spot - I'll have to remember to stop on by when I head out for my own van adventure! Thanks for your video - I always enjoy them...
Next time you take a turn down the wrong road, pop the drone up in the air to get some aerial footage of where you are before turning around and going back. Looked like a pretty cool spot you accidentally discovered.
Hey Brian cool video man I've been keeping up with you from your start and I like your style you make me want to take the dive and go travel around in a van just seems like a better way of life. The drone vid was great keep it up man be inspired.
another well done video - enjoyed it very much - someday i hope to hit the road but i do have some apprehension about security in some of these remote camping spots
For some reason I went to see if that lake was polluted. Do you look it up before you jump in? Lots of farming and industrial waste can pollute a lake and 40% of lakes are polluted. I'll be heading out on the road so I'm just trying to learn all that I can before. Love your videos.
I'm such a city girl. Grass has spiders. Give me concrete and a near by Starbucks. Lol. My van is so far from stealth. So my cover is blown for urban boondocking! I've been thinking of a replacement van. I'm just used to the 6.5' ceilings. Lol
You mean Gluten-Free Starbucks, right, lol:) Not sure if you saw my response on your site that the Canyon Bakehouse good bread items might be at your local Target...I am gonna check for your yummy GF sourdough tomorrow at my local Whole Foods to use on a nice chicken salad sandwich~Never watch Brian videos at bedtime or will get the munchies:) Looking forward to watching you start the van life, although that motor home is looking mighty comfy, also!!!
Yeah, I had my gps system do something similar on my last trip. I got to an intersection and it said to go left. The actual location was like a mile to the right. I didn't realize this though so I went left. It had me go 7 MILES down that road and then take another turn. Then it took me through these gravel roads that literally was nothing but a circle back to the main road I just turned off of... at the same spot even. Then it said go right... which then took me the 7 miles back where I just drove from... then to the final destination. The funny part was that the entire time I was telling myself that this didn't seem like the right way to go. However, who am I to question gps? lol
going down the dirt road kinda cool, even though it was the wrong way. GPS does that a lot. beautiful new camp ground all to yourself. how do you get the Ariel view of your van and camp area?
I have a friend who always puts diced apple in her tuna. Maybe you might want to try it. I'd be interested to know about the bugs there. Did they eat you alive?
This might take some of the adventure away but couldn't you use google maps with satellite view to see the topology of the map to see if there is a lake or not with the satellite photos and where these dirt roads lead?
