Big Johninator is actually just a joke character like the other secret encounters and doesn't have any importance to the lore at all, he's literally just a robotic version of the Big John boss from DUSK, another game published by New Blood
Big John is infact the prototype prototype designed to counter the prototype (v1) designed to counter the Earthmover, which was designed to counter the environment.
although the book that drops after his defeat MIGHT have a importance to the lore, it's how you unlock the secret level and that secret level may have a testament
Tbh enraged v1 would be a powerup like akimbo powerup, maybe with like other powerups like, metallic mode like in Super smash bros where you get more hp but move slower.
@@fanzical The reason it’s a punishment is because they can feel every single part and experience excruciating pain when their branches are broken similar to a limb breaking. The reasoning is that they did not value their bodies so they will experience pain while trapped inside a body they cannot control.
7-4 you fight the tank from mann vs machine, 7-1 is literally ctf_well and it's filled to the brim with scouts. also the gutterman is heavy and the guttertank is soldier. the mannequins are force-a-nature scouts
P rank in the lore is the robot checklist box things at the beginning and end of every level judging you by how cool you were during the level basically, so the kill score is based off of kills that you personally did, so in 7-4 if you still didn’t fight the things that died it doesn’t count.
I watched the dev livestream yesterday, Hakita said in the next update there's going to be an attack where he knocks you off his back if you're on there
@@piggy743 I meant more like, learning to dodge the attacks =p since I have no clue what the boss attack pattern is, I just jumped on it immediately and figured out it worked xD (Also I'm a filthy nailgun used, not a fan of the saws)
5:58 dunno if someone commented this already, but the rockets turn blue after 1 second of being frozen to signify that whatever it hits becomes a red explosion 👍
although keep in mind I may be misrecalling my stuff so don't just auto think that it's actually that, do research instead to see if I'm being a idiot or not
The secret level is accessible in 7-3, but it's so unbelievably complicated that it might take a while if you don't have a guide. (especially because if you do things incorrectly you get locked out
the book in 7-4 is hell talking to you, and it’s not talking about the death of mankind but the death of earthmovers specifically. mankind wasn’t ended by the war, it was ended by hell spreading to the surface
just subscribed because i've been watching some of your videos without being subscribed. fun fact though, in the book you find in 7-4, the entire book IS actually blank. It's another one of the several parts of the game where it's hell DIRECTLY speaking to V1. Most red text with odd formatting is usually a sign that it's hell speaking since hell is alive in ultrakill
Marked for Deaht let the enemy behave different, they used to fight each other when they are spawned or exsit in the map, like SwordMachine will fight some husks type guy, Marked for death let them target the player that activated mark for death mode, but somehow they still have friendly fire
your commentary is really solid. explaining what you're thinking clearly is always good, especially if you're looking for secrets. keep up the good work, dude.
fun fact. I found that if you use the rocket launchers rocket stopping abilities it stops johninators rockets, so my fav tactic to beat him quick has become the green shotgun, overcharge it and use it on john when he spawns while you yourself dash out. and then just equip your rocket launcher, and if you listen, the dude before firing his rocket launcher has a sound que and while charging his beam he has a que aswell. So when you hear the sound que just activate time stop. one of the fastest ways to beat him (w/o saw launcher atleast)
Rockets explode when you whiplash them unless youre falling, but even then its inconsistent. The best way to rocket ride is to look forward but very slightly down, then quickly freeze, shoot a rocket, dash, and unfreeze at the end of your dash. This will make the rocket go directly under you and requires you to pull up way less as well.
they actually changed it so that you don't have to be falling for to ride a whiplashed rocket. just make sure that you whiplash it directly below you because even a few degrees closer to horizontal will cause collision instead of a ride.
I've done P-2 right before p ranking act 7 so similar level of skills for both and fresh outlook on both. I will say despite having been trained by P-2 I would consider the last marked for death room on par or harder with the hardest rooms in P-2
@@4kduck947 p-2 in it's entirety? yes, but individual rooms I'd disagree (except like, sisiphus prime but I don't really count it as an ennemy room =p) P-2 has very deliberate ennemies that work well together and with the arena, but there aren't ever nearly as many as in that room, and the ennemy variety is so high in that last room it's hard to figure out what to prioritize or how to approach it and you're likely to find at least one ennemy you struggle with. The dual wield power up helps but there is so much stuff... In violent at least where ennemies are really fast and don't leave much room between attacks it gets very chaotic and it's really hard to hide (unless you abuse the ledge a lot but that's no fun =p)
The AI for Big Johninator is the same as V2's but his rocket launcher is the same as the Guttertank's which is also the same as your rocket launcher, meaning you can freeze it and make it go back and deal big damage to the boss.
I actually really like being marked for death just going through the level normally. The final room especially is really fun because I can just turn my brain off and shoot things
i know this is a month late, but with the book on the Earthmover it's implied that it's V1, your character, thinking it to themself while here. It's implied that right before the war ended, V1 and V2 were being created. Created specifically to destroy the Earthmovers. "This is the only way it should have ended." Is V1 basically thinking that the only way the war should have ended is with it taking down the Earthmovers in a blaze of glory.
@@justarandomgamer7667 I spent and hour killing flesh prison then my game crashed and i had to kill him again so I just went to 7-s because I hadn’t done it yet( i don’t wanna go back to flesh prison no)
That's actually really smart... I mean in hindsight it feels like it should be pretty obvious but tbh I absolutely would not have thought of it on my own
The rockets keep exploding when you whiplash them because you aren't falling. You must have substantial downward velocity for that trick to work. You can also freeze enemy rockets by right-clicking with the freezeframe
damn, i thought you were a popular youtuber with the quality of the videos tbh, but apparently not. anyways, i wanted to say great content and thanks for the pointers.
The reason you were dying from your own rockets when trying to whiplash them was because you had upward momentum, if you dash then grab a rocket under you, it wont explode because the dash canceled your upward momentum
@@graycatsaderow ya see, the thing is that I play cybergrind a lot. Because when I parry, a lot of projectiles are comming at me, and I end up not seeing them
It's in the level where you fight V2 for the second time. If you want I can tell you how to get it, but there's a hint for it behind a wall in the dark level.
The rockets turn blue after a while because Hakita added a buff to the rockets where if they’re frozen for long enough, they become supercharged and deal more damage plus a red explosion on hit. Anyways, game recommendation time. There’s this game called Balatro which has a demo on steam now and has a full version coming out by the end of this month. It’s basically a poker roguelite, i/ pretty fun.
So i know it's been like 2 months but i wanna clarify the fire thing in the forest level is supposed to be the red variant rocket launcher the street cleaners will do it but you're supposed to use the fire bomb rocket launcher
so 7-3 cristalized door IS infact the secret mission you just have to melt it with the street cleaners lol. but sadly not its not done yet, though it wouuld be cool if you knew that before it came out
Whisper, it's OpenAI's AI transcription thing, you can get it online and use it for free if you have a computer that can run it. Obviously it's not perfect, but as long as it's better than the default automatic subtitles RU-vid has I feel like it's worth using
yo, there is a cool ultrakill tech that you didnt use, you can throw the shotgun core and hitting it with the red railgun and it makes one of the biggest explotions in the game
