I just drive my honda because I appreciate the old cars and how they look/perform. This is so cool and to learn a little about roll bars and stuff! Subbed
Glad you enjoyed! This is my "racecar" build CRX, but I'm also building an 88 Si that I'm keeping bone stock because I also enjoy the way Honda made them in 1988.
this really could be a solid channel, can tell your old school.. a mic upgrade is massive.. grats on finding a decent EF, been looking for a bit, new england everything is just rusted out so hard
Thank you, I really appreciate that. Yeah, I definitely need to get a decent mic. LoL. And I got lucky with finding this car is mostly rust free condition, but I also tore it down to a completely bare shell and restored it before doing the initial build on it. It used to be a completely unmolested white DX. I've been thinking of doing a quick slideshow type video on that build seeing as I did it before I had a RU-vid channel.
@@RX7RM I would def do the slideshow, or a tiktok... more content the better.. feel like the older stuff, ef's, eg's ek, racing, scca, kinda phase is dying out and more people are getting into stance and kinda whatever mods.. I'm hoping the next gen of honda fans are staying with the roots and avoiding the 4" wheel barrel lips
nice tasteful mods and looks awesome! youll def feel the dif for sure. way beefier and having a rear sway bar is gonna help you get more planted traction around corners. gonna feel sick!!
Does drilling holes into the roll cage like that change the overall strength or structural integrity? That's a great looking CRX bro! I own a 1990 Civic Si EF Hatchback! Still has the stock D16 in it but I'm hoping I can get a K20 into it some day. I have no idea how to work on cars though so unless I pay someone else to do it, I'll be shit out of luck! Maybe I'll just go with a B16 but for now she stays covered up out in the garage!
a small hole or two like that, not at all, roll cage strength is more about making a square around you.. it's less about strength and more about when a roll over happens how bends/folds take place An Si Ef hatch is a gem!!!.. you don't need to "learn" anything it's a hobby, start playing. you make a mistake... you learnt something.
EG knuckles are similar to DA knuckles in the fact that they bolt up, but do not have correct geometry. If they're working for you and not destroying your tires or messing up the way your car handles, good enough. I went with the EX knuckles just to make sure I didn't have issues.
