A S because sometimes you have to prioritise yourself and your needs and happiness before anything else, especially when you’re so young. They are both young and have their futures to think of- I.e. Olivia moving to London. Some people can’t be happy in long distance relationships. They become miserable which is no way to be. Life is too short.

idk if you will see this olivia, but i think its so great that you guys are able to be agree that long distance isnt your thing and that you guys for right now are better off as friends. the future is completely unknown and you might in a few months realize hey maybe i need him more that i originally thought and maybe he makes me happier than i ever realize. people can always come back into your life when the time is right!

This seems like such a mature breakup, I hope it stays that way. You can see that they're clearly still interested in each other romantically. I had a breakup like this not too long ago and everything seemed to be going well, it seemed like the perfect mature breakup and we remained close friends after the split, but from my experience, it's really important to take some time to be apart, even if it's just a few days. It's risky to stay too close of friends when you're still interested in each other, there will be expectations from both sides without even saying them out loud, without even realizing it. It's hard to let each other go when nothing bad happened to break you guys up, but just be careful to not get too attached again.
